😂☀️ MILWAUKEE… KIDS TODAY WOULD NOT SURVIVE THE GAMES WE PLAYED GROWING UP 👀🏀

Before tablets and nonstop scrolling…

summer meant:
🏃 running around until it got dark
💦 water balloon wars
🏀 knockout at the courts
💡 flashlight tag
🏈 football in random fields
🚲 bike races through the neighborhood

And somehow…

every kid in the city knew the rules without anybody explaining them 😂☀️

Honestly?
A lot of those summer memories are what made growing up fun 💙

That’s part of why we want kids outside, active, laughing and building memories again this summer 🏀☀️

🏀👀 MILWAUKEE… WHAT WAS THE “SPOT” GROWING UP? ☀️💙

Every neighborhood had THAT place.

The place everybody somehow ended up at during summer 😂

🏀 the basketball courts
🍧 the corner store
🚲 the bike path
⚽ the open field
💦 the water park
🎮 somebody’s basement
🍔 the cookout spot

You didn’t even need a phone.

Everybody just…
showed up 😂☀️

Honestly, that’s something a lot of kids today are missing.

Real summers.
Real friendships.
Real memories outside the house 💙

☀️🏀 DAY 2 AT ZABLOCKI PARK IS THIS SATURDAY 👀🔥

And honestly…

there are still Milwaukee kids out there who could spend this summer:
🏀 making new friends
☀️ staying active
😂 laughing outside
🔥 learning new sports
💙 building memories they’ll talk about long after summer ends

Next Play M Summer Camp officially begins June 8th, and campers will also have opportunities to participate in our community camp tournaments this summer 👀🏆

🏀 3v3 Basketball
🏐 6v6 Volleyball
🏈 7v7 Flag Football
⚽ 8v8 Soccer

This is becoming bigger than sports 💙

☀️ Volunteers can arrive between 9AM–12PM this Saturday.

👨‍👩‍👧 Families still interested in signing their child up for camp are also welcome to stop by, meet the coaches, ask questions, and learn more before camp officially begins.

🏀👀 Some Milwaukee kids are about to walk into this summer not even knowing who their teammates will be yet…

And honestly?
That’s kind of exciting 🔥☀️

Because over the next few weeks:
kids are going to be meeting new players, building teams, practicing together, and competing in our Next Play M Youth 3v3 Basketball Days 🏆💙

Some players already have teams.

Others will join as FREE AGENTS and be matched with other kids their age who are also looking for teammates 👀🏀

☀️ Community Youth Teams
🔥 Friendly games & mini tournaments
💙 Positive environment

☀️🏀 In a couple of weeks…

basketball courts, soccer fields, and park days around Milwaukee are about to feel different again 👀🔥

Kids running around.
Water balloons flying.
Teams being formed.
Parents sitting on the sidelines.
And campers trying sports they’ve never played before 💙

That’s one thing we’re really excited for this summer.

Not just the games…

but all the fun, energy, laughs, competition and memories these kids are about to make together this summer ☀️🏆

Other than swimming days, sports activities, and getting to meet new friends this summer…

our campers will also have the opportunity to participate in our COMMUNITY YOUTH 3v3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENTS 🏆💙

And the best part? 👀

Kids outside of the camp will also be able to join the fun and participate 🏀🔥

Some players will enter as FREE AGENTS and be teamed up with other kids who are looking for teammates, new friendships, and positive basketball energy this summer ☀️💙

It’s honestly been amazing watching local families continue coming together around Next Play M Summer Camp 👀🔥

Now?
☀️ kids are already getting excited for summer
🏀 campers are starting to meet new friends
💙 families continue supporting the vision
🔥 and the energy around this camp keeps growing every week

This summer campers will stay active with:

🏀 Today honestly reminded us why this camp means so much 💙

Even with this morning’s weather, families still came out, kids stayed active, and we even welcomed another camper today 👀🔥

One parent messaged us saying their kids had a great time and they were happy they signed them up ☀️🏆

Right now the camp is officially full…

but Coach B still wants to help create a positive place for Milwaukee kids this summer 💙

That’s why we are still looking for 1 or 2 positive people who would like to help during games, activities, pool days, and outdoor fun ☀️🏀

🏀 Teens can also volunteer with us, earn volunteer hours, and still participate in camp activities while helping younger campers stay active and have fun 🔥

☀️🏀 Day 1 of 2 at Zablocki Park 👀🔥

Despite this morning’s rain, we still had families stop by, kids get active, and final camp forms continue being completed for summer 💙🏆
Thank you to the parents and campers that still came out today and showed support ☀️

We will be doing this again next Saturday between 10AM–12PM at Zablocki Park for families who would still like to meet face-to-face before camp officially begins 👨‍👩‍👧🏀

🏀 Volunteers can show up starting at 9AM

Crazy to think these courts were empty not too long ago… and today kids were already out there getting active 😂☀️
