It’s that time of year again - off season - when the shop hours change to “Catch us if you can.” The shop will still be open most days, but I’ll be attending to other things on the to-do list from time to time without notice, so please text me to set up an appointment. Most evenings and weekends will work, too, so let me know what works for you and we can find a time that will work. And as you know, these cooler days make for awesome riding weather!

Come on down to Ride On this afternoon during the Back to School event and register to win this bike! (Thanks to an anonymous donor for providing the bike!) Enjoy a snack inside the bike shop before or after your haircut and take in some of the other activities. The drawing for the bike will be held at 6:30 PM today, August 6!

A couple changes to the schedule this week:

1. I will NOT be in Clyde on Monday, June 29. Every indication is that it will be excessively hot, so we’ll hope for better weather next Monday.

2. On Wednesday, July 1, I will be at the park providing lunch for kids, so the shop will be closed from 10:30 to 12:30.

3. The shop will be closed on Thursday, July 2, as there are some out-to-town commitments that are claiming my attention.

Things should be back to normal next week. Thanks for understanding.

The BIKE4ALZ guys are on their way! Twelve young men from Western Kentucky University are riding from San Francisco to Virginia Beach, raising money and awareness for Alzheimers research, and they will be in Miltonvale on Sunday, June 21. They will spend the night at the EMS building, and, as in the past, we’d like to feed them with a BBQ burger meal. A couple of the guys this year have nut allergies, so we’re trying to avoid a trip to the ER (like last year when a guy ate a cookie with nuts). If you’d like to donate some food please let me know. We need hamburger, buns, chips, drinks, fresh fruit, and desserts. Many thanks!

I’ll be out of the shop this week, April 6-10, as we show California friends that Kansas isn’t all flat. Regular hours will resume on Monday, April 13 - Monday to Friday, 10 to 5, evenings and weekends by appointment. Make time to ride!
