Tyler and Lindsey Elizabeth brought their dad out on the CathyJean this morning for an early father's day celebration. They made us hunt them down after a slow start. But we found em! Lots of Lakers, 2 on one rod twice, traditional doubles, several nice Salmon. But the icing on the cake was Dad getting the first and very rare Brown Trout of the season on the last rod in the water! Happy Father's day! FISH ON!

My good friend Jeffrey Sanford ask me to take his daughter Jazzy and her family out for an early morning of Gator fishing on Saturday. Lots of fish over the transom with Jazzy setting the bar at 13lbs! Another beautiful day on the water. Check out the video. FISH ON!

Egor and his son Max came out on a Salmon and Trout trip on Monday. They had such a good time they rebooked Friday. After a day or 2 to think about it, I asked them if they would be interested in a Pike trip and show them something new in a different area of the lake. Egor jumped at it. This morning we did a nice mixed bag of Pike with one over 10lbs, a Drum over 16 with some Smallmouth and Perch. So grateful to have such a diverse fishery in my backyard! Shout out to Shaun Crawford for doing an awesome job of carving up their Pike today! He has skills!

John and his crew from NY came aboard this morning. They originally were not planning on keeping any fish. We got into some early Salmon and he asked me to cut up some sushi. I have done this many times for my guests on the CathyJean. I am going to have to keep Wasabi and Soy sauce on board from now on. 😁 We got a few Salmon early and made a move and put the beat down on some very healthy Lake Trout. Biggest topping 11lbs! FISH ON!

A couple of great days on the water with a mixed creel of Lakers and Salmon! So much fun taking people out to catch their first Salmon and Trout. FISH ON 🎣🎣🎣!

We got bumped and finished in 4th with the Lake Trout. Shout out to my good friend Phil Burnor and the Trolling Bees that bumped us from 3rd to 4th. They had 2 Lakers on the board! So that's ok. Great weekend with good friends on the boat and on many other boats. Fish On!

After day 2 in the Rotary Derby, we have a 11.7 lb Laker in 3rd. With a little more luck tomorrow we can add a nice Salmon to compete in the team division!

2 more great trips to end the month of may. A charter with some great folks on Thursday.

Followed by a my nephew Garrett, my friend Scott with his son Cole and wife Sam. Cole started the day boating his first Salmon, Garret followed with his first Laker and Later with his first Salmon. A nice fatty that topped the scales over 5lbs and gave us a nice airial show!

Still have some openings in June to enjoy the Champlain Experience.

That's a wrap for the 2025 season on the CathyJean. It was a great year on deck! My sincere apologies to the guests who got cancelled this spring in the process of repowering with a beautiful new YAMAHA 150. As alway I'll give returning guests first crack at my 2026 schedule. Spring dates go fast!!!
Special thanks to the team of my good friends that mate for me and help keep the boat on course, that allows me to stay focused on putting fish in the boat. You guys are awesome!
Can't wait to do it all again next year! Let's go 🎣🎣🎣!!!
