My new client Jeffrey hitting a 340x8 squat in sleeves. His previous best was 315x8 with knee wraps! That’s a +25lb PR in 4 weeks of training.

Jeffrey has a great foundation for lifting but just needed some guidance and smart programming.

Scott Poyner with 415x5 for +10lb PR in the middle of our volume block.
I’ve been writing Scott’s nutrition plan the last 10 or so weeks and we’ve been able to get him from a bodyweight of 199lb —> 189lb
He will be ready for the 181lb weight class on Feb 23 for Bending the Bar Volume 3!!

It has not been an easy road, but this woman has persevered through it all and followed everything I've told her. Couldn't be more proud of her progress and work ethic! 🙂

3 Things that DO make you successful in powerlifting:

• CONSISTENT effort over time. Injury free training over long periods of time will make you the strongest!

• SPECIFICITY, you need to perform the competition lifts OFTEN. Bouncing around with too many variations will never allow you enough time to work on technical efficiency with a lift.

• VOLUME. Doing more volume than you did the day, week or training cycle before is the only way to break past plateaus! More volume can be factored in with more frequency, reps, or intensity.
