Hey Sk8 Fam! On the eve of the 15th anniversary of our closing, we just want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for being the amazing people you are. Without all of you, we would never have had these wonderful memories of the many years we were in business. The dream began with Ernie & Evelyn and it was fulfilled by you for making this home for all to enjoy. We are so thankful to have spent 34 years making these memories with you. Wishing you all happiness and cheerful memories for a very long time.

A very thoughtful skater from Fayetteville, AR found this old schedule from 1979 in a skate bag she thrifted. I remember watching my dad, Ernie type up these schedules on the typewriter. His four-finger method was fast & accurate. He learned to type himself, never taking a class. He would then cut the stencil and run these off on a duplicator. Sometimes a messy process. But hey, that was the method we had. Look at those prices! And skate rental is included! Those were the early days and just the beginning of what would become the huge Cal Skate Family we are now. I continue to appreciate hearing from everyone and sharing your memories. Take care and keep on rollin’!

30 years ago today we lost the cornerstone of our family and the Cal Skate family. Evelyn was always there to make sure Cal Skate was clean and ready to welcome our guests. She was there to set you straight too, if needed. She made sure that the community was supported, returning the favor of the community supporting Cal Skate. We miss you, Evelyn and thank you for taking such great care of all of us. You may be gone but surely, never forgotten.
