Not every training session has to be a marathon. While I do believe that repetition is key to progress, I also believe that we have to allow our horses to find the rewards in the midst of the repetition.

In training, it is natural to think, "if 10 repetitions are good for my horse, then 20 repetitions will be great." However, that is not always the case. Don’t ruin what you established yesterday by pushing too hard today.

Allow your horse to reap the rewards of their effort. Give them a break. Let them know they did it right. Keep it fun for them. You don't have to get 100% better each day--just focus on your 1%.

Very happy with how Corona’s summer sore is healing!
This has been going on for a few months now, was just trying to keep it clean and deworming her, but finally had to have the vet out to sedate her and clean it out really, really well. It started looking better, but got bad again 😖 so the vet had to come out again and sedate her, scrape it out and we put her on antibiotics, steroids and butte.
The last picture is from today and it is looking great! Hopefully it will finish healing and this won’t be a problem anymore 🤞🏼
