June dividing needs a gentle touch 🌿 A few tips I’ve learned:
🌱 Divide early in the day or on a cloudy day if you can
💧 Water the plant well before and after dividing
🍃 Hostas and daylilies usually bounce back pretty well
🌸 Bee balm can spread fast, so dividing helps keep it under control
🌼 Shasta daisies and yarrow do best when replanted quickly
☀️ Give new divisions a little extra care until they settle in
I try not to divide plants during extreme heat, because that stress can be hard on them.
