The American Dream, JD Vance. Don't let adversity limit you.
At age 12, he jumped from a speeding car to escape his mother.
At 18, he was a high school grad with no direction.
Today, he's the Vice President of the United States.
Growing up in Middletown, Ohio, his childhood report card read like this:
β’ Parents divorced β
β’ Living with drug users β
β’ Witnessed abuse β
β’ Faced poverty β
β’ Unstable home life β
He was destined to become a statistic.
A grandmother with 19 loaded handguns.
"Mamaw" had one message:
"Never be like those losers who think the deck is stacked against them."
She gave him two things he desperately needed:
A stable home and hope.
He joined the Marines.
The Corps taught him what his community couldn't:
- How to make a bed
- How to manage money
- How to believe in himself
- How to dream bigger
His rise was meteoric:
Graduated from Ohio State in 2 years.
Got into Yale Law School.
Wrote a bestselling book.
Became a successful investor.
Moved back to Ohio.
Ran for Senate.
Won.
Absolute proof that anything is possible with grit and determination. π― Truly inspiring to all Americans!
Who knows, he could become President of the United States of America in five years. We pray for him and his family. The challenges are huge.
