Back in 2002 the printed version of the Northwest Hockey Report was launched. It was our goal to provide a way to promote the game so many of us love and enjoy watching and playing. For five years this newspaper was published and distributed to rinks and other supporting businesses across our region. In 2007 changes to my work schedule and the demands that brought forced me to abandon
the printed version. But the demand to get the word out about hockey events of all kinds – be they youth, junior or the college game – NEVER went away. It is with this in mind that we are getting back into the hockey promotion business in the Northwest, but now through the use of social media with the launching of our Northwest Hockey Report page. We invite you to use it to post news of your events, show off your team’s accomplishments, even promote your business to what we hope evolve into a substantial following. But PLEASE do not abuse it. This page will NOT be a place to vent and argue. Its sole purpose is to promote hockey. Please pass the word and help grow the site…and maybe someday you might see that old-fashioned newspaper version reappear in a rink near you.
