Race 2 managed to get myself a good start and fought hard in the early laps of the race, but a little disappointed in the final result finishing in 10th. I know collectively we have the ability to be better than this, but it’s been a tough ol’ time lately 😅 buuuuut it’s important even on the tough days that we simply just look for all the ways we can be better on & off the track. Speeds there, just have to put the pieces of the puzzle together, it’s as simple as that! 🧩

Back to work.. ⚒️

Came home in Race 1 yesterday with a P9 finish. We know we can be further up, just need to find that little bit extra. We know it will come!

Race 2 this afternoon at 2:45pm local time. Given it’s Father’s Day in Australia today, it’s pretty cool to have Dad here with me this weekend too! It’s been a big year this season moving to Germany and racing internationally full-time, so nothing beats having a bit of familiarity in the pits. Thanks Jamie Stauffer for everything you do for me - happy Father’s Day! 🥳

Qualifying - P8 and the closest we’ve been to pole position in the Supersport Championship ✊🏻

Happy with the comeback today after yesterday’s crash and a tops job to the team for getting everything sorted overnight. Still not feeling 100% comfortable on the bike, but we’ll keep working and crack on for this afternoons Race 1! 16 laps let’s goooo 🥵

Day 1 here at Nurburgring - not the smoothest of sailing days for us but on the flip side feeling like we’re relatively close given the circumstances today! Rider okay - but just had a technical issue that resulted in a crash in the early stages of FP2, meaning we only completed 2 flying laps in a session that counted pretty heavily.

Despite the crash, I’m still feeling pretty positive heading into qualifying just from the overall feeling we had in FP1, so let’s see what we can do from here ✊🏻

Thanks Team Apreco as always for their work this afternoon to make sure everything is all good to go for qualifying in the morning! 👏🏻

A P10 to finish my first race on the R9 💃 For sure we still have a lot more work to do, but I think there’s plenty of things to be happy about given it’s our 2nd day on the bike. Still coming to grips with it all, in particular just gaining confidence in the front end in the first couple of sectors at Assen, but feeling good in the fast stuff which makes it a bit of fun 🤠

A good direction going into tomorrow and I have no doubt we’ll make another decent step! 👏🏻

Enjoyed myself out there today getting to grips with the R9! Made some good steady progress across the 3 sessions, even finding myself inside the Top 10 in FP2 which was a pretty good boost, and then finished Q1 in P13. While P13 isn’t what we’re chasing as a result on paper, we’re actually in a good place and only .2 of a second away from sitting inside the Top 10 (and realistically given it was only our first day, a Top 6 is not far out of reach also!). Not so bad for our first day on a new bike 🤪

Round 5 of EURO MOTO this weekend just got a whole lot more exciting with Team Apreco stepping up and competing in the Supersport Championship on the Yamaha R9 💃 Arrived at Assen today for bump in and we are so excited to get to work on the R9 // yet another new challenge for us but one that I am so eager for!

I really do want to thank the team for their belief in me and wanting to go further on this journey together. And what better track to jump on the R9 than Assen, The Cathedral of Speed 🤠

Just one of those weekends where something didn’t quite click - but that’s racing at the end of the day! Still took away a lot of valuable knowledge and we’ll simply just work harder for the next one! We know once everything comes together it will be great, the speed is there, we just need a bit more of an understanding to where we are losing time!

We ended Race 2 in P15 and went faster again, so improvements were always being made even if the end result on paper isn’t what we wanted! A big thank you to the Team Apreco crew for all their efforts as always. Ready to show what we can do at Round 5! 👊🏻

Race 1 done // had a strong start to the race, dropped the lap time again and stayed pretty consistent in the early stages and finding myself as high as 16th, although the final result over the finish line isn’t what we came here for - we will keep going! Tomorrow is a new one and I’m confident in the changes we can make and keen to see what we can do with another strong start like today 👊🏻
