Well, since we're not racing the RX8 at Mid-Ohio we're going to support our very good friend in his Kswapped Integra.

Yep, my wonderful wife gifted me a a spot in this car for our 4 year wedding anniversary!

She used AI to create the voucher and taped it to the bottom of an RC car. Needless to say I was very happy, because missing a race really bothers me and anyone who endurance races gets what I am talking about because the amount of seat time is ridiculously long.

Anyway, we're going racing and will look to help our friends at Baller Racing Team get on to that top step!

Well, after 10 days and travelling from the UK to Belgium then to Germany then to Tennessee and finally to Pennsylvania....

Well, after 10 days and travelling from the UK to Belgium then to Germany then to Tennessee and finally to Pennsylvania. The new Rocketdog Racing Aluflow Radiator made it here to get installed in the racecar.

My original one found its way into the wife's RX8 along with the fans. I'll get this installed and replacement fans too. Then it's time to reach out to Haltech to see what the status is on the ECU.

It's been a while since I posted anything, but this is the current situation... The old harness had too many issues and so I sourced a replacement. Now it's a matter of removing what's not needed. Additionally, I successfully bypassed the key and security entirely and now have a toggle and button. The nice part is I now have the ECU controlling the fuel pumps, so now when the ignition toggle is thrown the fuel pumps cycle to prime.

No more toggle needed to turn the pumps off and on.

All ready for its first track day of the year at NJMP.

After the last race we ran into an issue with no power to the ECU and after spending hours upon hours chasing the issue we decided to pull the body harness and replace it.

It's kinda comical cause there are many many empty connectors without sensors. If I had time I would depin the main connector of all the waste and it probably would lose a bit of weight. IE: Radio, SRS, Security, etc... With the Haltech ECU the Immobilizer is disabled thank goodness!

The biggest benefit I have now is the fuel pump is going to be controlled by the ECU like it was from the factory. No, we don't have the stock tank and yes we have a fuel cell but run a Walbro 255lph pump externally. It's getting moved from the trunk to under what would be the driver's side rear seat against the frame rail and the factory wiring will connect to it there.

Overall, this project is taking longer than I want as we still have testing to do for the updates I made to the tune for rev-matching and maybe one day will setup a pit speed limiter button and a yellow flag map for fuel conservation.

When I undid the harness grounds which ground the ECU they were coated in oil on both sides which explains why the ECU had no power. Anyway, now that things are cleaned up I'll expect to have it running very soon.

I still laugh at the size of the engine vs the gearbox.

Getting excited to reinstall it and see if the changes I made to the tune post Summit helped it. Especially, rev-matching which the Haltech can do.

Slowly getting back together after cleaning off the oil that got all over everything during the Summit Point race.

I'm astonished as to how much oil there was. Took the intake off because it was just filled with so much grime. Somehow it got under the fuel injector connectors too.

For those that know I had to get creative to torque the e-shaft nut, 300 ft/lbs.
