July 13-18, 2026 - Scholastic Clay Target Program National Championship - The team competed in sporting clays, super sporting, Make-A-Break, a charity NSCA registered sporting clays and 5 stand event, and Last Shooter Standing/Annie Oakley shoot. Many firsts and so much fun! We met many, many new friends from far places. A special thanks to Tony Monzingo, NSCA Hall of Famer, for the outstanding coaches clinic!

HUGE thanks to our Pennsylvania support for the inagural season:

Hillendale Hunt Club for a top notch sporting practice course,

July 4, 2026 - Coaches, parents, and athlete Ethan Powell traveled to Cedar Creek Sporting Clays in Millville, New Jersey for a four hour sporting clays clinic from two of the best shooters in the Northeast: Blaize Whitehead and Shawn Kemeter. The presentations were fantastic as the New Jersey State Championship was held there recently and provided many unique presentations.

Major breakthroughs included meeting top level shooters who started in SCTP at a young age, minimizing movement for longevity sake, connecting better with straight farther out crossers, and overall stage planning. We even got to chat about Blaize and Shawn's new podcast and meet master stockmaker Joe Goldberg who was doing some custom work for Shawn on site. This will certainly be one of many to come!

Results of the SCTP/AIM State Championships June 26-27, 2026:
>> 239 total athletes in sporting clays
>> 513 total athletes in American trap

Ethan "True Pair" Powell scored in the Intermediate/Entry division:
>> 64 in sporting clays for a 15th place (event PR)
>> 73 in American trap for a 55th place (event PR)

We are proud of how far he has come having just two months to prepare. His true pair showcase towards the end of the soaking day was a highlight we will never forget -- hitting six clays with three shells!!
