August 3rd marked the ending of an era for our team. We played our final game together at Cooperstown Dreams Park. Many tears we shed after the 3rd out was called. Most of these boys have played together since they were 7 and 8 years old. They have grown together, discovered life together, battled together, cried together, and certainly laughed together. They experienced the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. There was no better way to end our journey than playing in Cooperstown Dreams Park. 12 kids and 4 coaches living together in a barracks. To see them bond as one and play the best damn baseball they possibly could against some of the toughest teams in the nation. Never down, and always grinding. This was an experience that will last them a lifetime. We would like to thank our community, families, friends and local businesses that helped us with our fundraisers. This would be impossible without you. Thank you to our coaches who dedicated many hours of their time to our boys. Thank you to our boys and our families for keeping their trust and faith in us. Our boys are moving on now. Some are continuing the grind on the diamond and some are chasing new adventures. Wherever they go, their Lightning family will always be a part of who they are.
