Join us Tuesday, January 6th, as St. John the Baptist Catholic School, Smithton, Illinois and St. James Athletics honor Norah Mueller and Nick Amann for 8th Grade Basketball Night.

Norah currently attends St. James and is playing this season with the St. John/St. Joseph Catholic School JagHawks. She is the team’s only 8th grader and has been an absolute asset from day one. A true rebounding machine and one half of our “twin tower” centers, Norah brings toughness, effort, and a team-first attitude every night.

More importantly, she’s one of the kindest young women I’ve had the pleasure of being around. She transitioned seamlessly into the program, bonded quickly with her teammates, and was welcomed with open arms.

We’re excited for Norah’s future as a student-athlete. She will attend Althoff Catholic High School next fall, and there’s no doubt she’ll continue to do great things.

Thank you, Norah, for representing the JagHawks so well this season. Best of luck in Diocesan and Regional play, we’ll be cheering you on.

Nick Amann, our two-time Mr. Jaguar, currently attends St. John’s and is playing his 8th-grade season with St. James.

Nick’s “do whatever it takes” attitude has been a huge part of the Trojans’ success this season. His transition was seamless, having already played baseball the past two seasons with the St. James boys.

Nick will continue his success as a student-athlete at Freeburg Community High School next fall, and we have no doubt he’ll keep raising the bar.

We wish Nick nothing but success and look forward to cheering him on during Diocesan and Regional play. Thank you, Nick, for committing your time, bringing maximum effort every day, and representing both the St. John and St. James Athletic Departments the right way.

We had the opportunity to co-op this year for 8th girls basketball - Nora your Trojan family are proud of you!

🏀Catching up on our Parochial Girls JagHawks as they beat at Queen of Peace earlier this week on Wednesday evening. The Lady JagHawks lost a close one to a tough SPPCS team Tuesday night and then turned around Wednesday and beat QP. The girls improved their record to 8-9 on the season.

🦅Elin Row scored 14 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to carry Lady JAGS past QP - 8th Grade, 32-21, on Wednesday.

🐆Lady JAGS played stifling defense, blocking six shots and grabbing 16 steals. Lady JAGS controlled the paint, grabbing 61 rebounds. Norah led the team with 24 rebounds. Norah Mueller (8 points), Harper Correll (6 points), and Aleese Poston (4 points) helped out Lady JAGS as well. St. Joseph Catholic School g ikig u
