Thank you to all the volunteers for a successful clean up of the Casper Mountain trails! A special thank you to all the High School and Middle School Ski Club kids as well as their coaches, parents and other volunteers for all their hard work. A big thank you to Visit Casper, the Nordic Club, and the Central Wyoming Trails Alliance for getting everyone together. The trails look great and we are ready for winter!!

You can find natural roadside attractions all over Wyoming. One such curiosity is about 40 miles west of Casper: Hell's Half Acre. Over 960 acres of fascinating geologic terrain, Hell's Half Acre is composed of deep ravines, caves, rock formations, and hard-packed eroded earth. If you ever watched Starship Troopers, you may even think this is the fictional planet Klendathu! (It was filmed here in 1997!)

This new public toilet can be accessed from the parking lot right next to trailhead. ADA ramp coming next.

Looking for something free and fun to do now that summer is here? Natrona County parks are for everyone! Pack up the family, even your furry members, and head out to the Bridle Trail, Garden Creek Falls at Rotary Park, the Dinosaur Trail Cottonwood Campground, or take a drive to the Pathfinder Trail. Not only will you get in some good movement, but you will get to enjoy the fresh Wyoming air, nature, and cool sights everywhere you look!

If you are ready to enjoy a night under the stars, you won't have to go far! Campgrounds on Casper Mountain, Alcova Reservoir, and Pathfinder Reservoir are a close drive from Casper. These campgrounds may not be far from town, but they will make you feel like you are nowhere close to it!
