Some of our Southington m boys had a blast yesterday at the Knock Off the Rust Tournament!

Across all teams, we went a combined 7–3, with our U14 Blue team bringing home the championship 🏆

We had two teams (U12 & U14)competing as Southington Blue Knights and one as Southington Savage (U10)—great competition, great energy, and an even better way to kick off the season.

Proud of all the players for the effort and teamwork all day long.

Now it’s time to get to work. 💪🥍

🥍 Our Coaches were busy today getting ready for the season!

While Kyle, Kelly, Tom, Rob, Ed, Brad, Brian, Brandon, and Bill were completing CPR / First Aid / AED training—presented by Jaimie from Momentum Training—another crew was hard at work getting our fields ready.

A huge thank you to our Coaches Coordinator for organizing this each year. Ensuring we have certified coaches on the field is a priority for our program and our players’ safety.

At the same time, the Spagna family generously donated their trailer and time to help get goals out to the fields. Big thanks to J.W., Chris, Chuck, and Justin for jumping in and getting it done!

We’re incredibly grateful for all of our coaches who dedicate their time—not just on the field, but behind the scenes as well.

🥍 Introducing Our Southington Lacrosse U8 Boys In-House Teams! 🥍

This spring our U8 boys players will hit the field representing four awesome teams:

🐍 Crease Cobras
🥷 Net Ninjas
🐉 Knight Furys
🐊 Groundball Gators

Our U8 boys program is designed to bridge the gap between our Rising Stars program and full travel lacrosse. Players will compete in a mix of intertown “house” games, a few matchups against neighboring towns, and a couple of fun local tournaments throughout the season.

For “House Games”, players will suit up in their custom team jersey while developing their skills, building confidence, and experiencing the excitement of real games.

The goal is simple: create a fun, competitive environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and player development while continuing to grow their love for the game.


We can’t wait to see these teams battling it out on the field this spring!

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our friend Mike Gamber.

Mike was a beloved part of the Southington lacrosse community whose impact reached far beyond the field. As a coach, mentor, and dedicated member of the Southington Lacrosse Association Board, Mike gave countless hours to helping grow the game and support the players and families in our program. His leadership, generosity, and passion for lacrosse helped shape the foundation of what Southington Lacrosse is today.

Even during his courageous battle with cancer, Mike remained a source of strength and inspiration to everyone around him. He showed us what it means to lead with heart, support one another, and never give up.

This season, we proudly honor Mike by wearing Shamrocks with his initials on our uniforms — a small symbol of the lasting impact he had on our players, coaches, and community.

His legacy will live on in every practice, every game, and every player who steps onto the field wearing Southington colors. Gone but never forgotten.
