We provide 100-plus books each month at a public preschool in Irvington in conjunction with MEND's mobile farmers market. Most of the books are provided by SwimQuest's Millburn and new Livingston locations. The picture below shows our table at Augusta Preschool Academy as we get ready for parents and children to choose books. The school community is very appreciative of this opportunity to grow students' home libraries.

We will be closed Sunday January 25th due to the impending mega snow storm. Please be safe and build a snowman.

Can we collect over 10,000 books in 2026? I think we can! Thank you to all of the wonderful parents who continue to share the gift of reading with those less fortunate. Fill the bins!!!!

We're starting off the new year right--with A LOT of books collected at SwimQuest locations in Millburn and Livingston. Their regular donations have allowed us to increase service particularly to sites with lots of families with young children: Augusta Preschool in Irvington; Interfaith Food Pantry of the Oranges; and West Side High School's Baby Pantry. Thanks so much for your support!

Took only 3 weeks after our last pickup for our awesome community to fill up our bins. Thank you to everyone who dropped off books and know they are going to a good home.

🥳JACKPOT🎊!! This is how we feel when we get a message from SwimQuest Millburn that their donation bins are full! Thank you for another car load of books, picked up yesterday, that will help us get through our final 3 distributions of the summer🤩.

Lots of board books. Board books hold significant value for early childhood development, fostering pre-emergent literacy skills, language acquisition, and a love of reading in young children. Their sturdy construction makes them ideal for small hands, and the simple text and illustrations introduce basic concepts and vocabulary.

After a rainy May, we were able to finish strong at Interfaith Food Pantry of the Oranges today. Our full box of board books (shown below), plus another bag full, totaling 40-50 books was distributed along with an assortment of books for older siblings.
