💖Koriakin of Narnia💖
Of all the horses I have the pleasure to show, Kori is the most amusing. Though he is a greatly talented fjord, schooling figures in a 20x60 is not his top pick for how he’d like to spend his working time. He has taught me to be creative in many ways and at 21 years young has recently learned almost all of his work by “playing” outside around the fields and on the trails. Surrounding his flying change lessons he piaffes in the crunchy leaves, jumps fallen corn stalks, and goes for bursts of gallops. We also do long walks on the hills for fitness because his workouts are rarely a “normal” length. Kori has his own special timing.
Here he placed 10th in the Open 3rd level Regional Championship with a 65+% in a large, competitive class. The first photo says it all with his “no sweat” attitude exiting the arena, he cruised through his test with no mistakes after our 8 minute warmup. I often enter the warm up arena to the sound of the ring stewards talking on their radios wondering if I’m a “no show” on Kori. Not to worry. All in Kori’s plan.
Thanks Wendy Luscombe for sharing your clever, funny, talented boy with me. He sure makes me laugh.
