The last couple days I’ve caught more hate on this page than I have since the day I started it. Seems like all the non-hound hunters are out in full force.

But I’m not here to call anyone out because that won’t fix anything.

What I will say is this: there are far bigger evils in this world than a group of people running good hounds, spending time with family, and holding onto a way of life that’s been passed down for generations.

And the truth is, you shouldn’t judge an entire hound hunting community because of a few bad apples just like no group of people should be judged by the worst among them.

Instead of tearing down honest people and traditions, maybe it’s time we put all our focus on the real things in this world that actually need fixing.

We’re not the problem.
We’re just trying to keep something honest and meaningful alive.

If you understand this life, you already know why it’s worth protecting.

This morning, Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission took a vote on the proposed 2025 Florida Bear Season and it was unanimously passed by commissioners. A great day for bear hunters and conservationists alike! We thank the commissioners for following the science and voting with the best bear management practices in mind.
