Gambian football legend Ebrima Sohna was at the iconic Camp Nou on Wednesday night to witness Barcelona’s impressive 5-1 victory over Feyenoord in the UEFA Champions League.

Sohna, the CEO of E Sohna Academy, is currently on a European tour that has taken him to several countries as part of his football development and scouting activities.

During the tour, Sohna visited Turkey, where two E Sohna Academy youngsters, defender Ebrima Jatta and midfielder Abdoulie Jatta, secured their first professional contracts with Turkish Süper Lig side Gençlerbirliği.

Sohna's European tour has also included visits to Denmark and Spain, further highlighting his efforts to create opportunities and build international pathways for young Gambian footballers.

The latest trip adds another memorable chapter to Sohna’s work in developing and promoting Gambian football talent on the international stage.

Gambian Spanish-born winger Suleiman Camara has joined Ebrima Colley and Yankuba Minteh as the only Gambian players to score in the UEFA Champions League proper.

Suleiman Camara marked his Champions League debut with a spectacular goal for Slovan Bratislava in their 6-1 defeat to defending champions Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.

Despite the heavy defeat, the 24-year-old produced a memorable individual moment, scoring a fabulous goal to become the third Gambian to find the back of the net in the Champions League proper.

Suleman Camara’s goal adds his name to an exclusive list alongside Ebrima Colley and Yankuba Minteh, who previously achieved the feat.

Gambian teenage forward Amara Camara has completed a move to Swedish club Kalmar FF from Gambian top-flight side Real de Banjul.

The 18-year-old forward has signed a five-year contract with the Swedish club, keeping him at Kalmar until 2031.

Amara is regarded as one of the promising young attacking talents from The Gambia and his move to Sweden marks another important step in his developing career.

The transfer sees Amara Camara take his first major step into European football as he looks to continue his development and establish himself at the professional level.

E Sohna Academy has announced that its youngsters, Ebrima Jatta and Abdoulie Jatta, have signed their first professional contracts with Turkish Süper Lig side Gençlerbirliği Spor Kulübü.

Ebrima, a defender, and Abdoulie, a midfielder, have both signed two-year deals with the Turkish top-flight club.

According to the academy, the transfers were finalised on the final day of the Turkish transfer window.

The Gambian duo will join Gençlerbirliği’s youth squad, marking a new chapter in their football careers and opening the door to further development in Turkish football.

Fajikunda United FA and Kalabash FA played out a scintillating 2-2 draw in an entertaining B4L U17 Youth League encounter.

Babucarr Dembajang broke the deadlock for Kalabash FA in the 25th minute before George Senghore restored parity for Fajikunda United FA four minutes later.

Kalabash regained the lead through Mbaye Njie in the 53rd minute, but Senghore completed his brace in the 65th minute to level the scores once again.

Soccer Boys FA secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Lahaiba FA in the B4L U17 Youth League.

Modou Lamin Sanneh broke the deadlock in the 38th minute before Famara Bojang doubled the advantage in first half stoppage time to give Soccer Boys a two goal lead at the break.

Lahaiba FA pushed for a response after the interval, but Soccer Boys held firm to secure all three points.

Gambian youngster Youssoupha Sanyang has joined Czech club Artis Brno from SK Slavia Praha on loan until the end of the season.

The move provides the promising Gambian midfielder with an opportunity to gain valuable minutes and continue his development in Czech football.

Youssoupha Sanyang will now look to make an impact at Artis Brno as he continues his journey in European football.
