2006–07 Jackson Timberwolves!
🏆 GIRLS’ 4A STATE EIGHTH PLACE
The 2006–07 Jackson girls’ basketball team combined suffocating defense, balanced scoring and postseason toughness to produce one of the finest seasons in school history.
Under head coach Jeannie Thompson, the Timberwolves finished 23–4, placed second in the District 1 4A Tournament and won two elimination games at the Tacoma Dome to bring home the Class 4A eighth-place trophy.

📖 STORY OF THE SEASON
Jackson opened the season with nonleague victories over Snohomish and Monroe. After suffering a narrow 55–53 road loss to Meadowdale, the Timberwolves responded by winning eight consecutive games.

The 68–66 road victory over Auburn Riverside was especially significant. Auburn Riverside carried a higher rating and pushed Jackson through one of its closest games of the season, but the Timberwolves found a way to finish.
Jackson’s only two league losses came against Meadowdale, by scores of 55–53 and 50–45. Against the rest of its league schedule, Jackson went a perfect 14–0.

Defense was the foundation of Jackson’s success.

After their first loss to Meadowdale, the Timberwolves won eight straight games to improve to 10–1.
Jackson’s defining stretch began after its second loss to Meadowdale. The Timberwolves responded with 11 consecutive victories, closing the regular season with eight straight league wins before sweeping three district-tournament games.

Kingma gave Jackson an elite perimeter scorer, while Eskridge delivered consistent production inside. Addington, Bruns and Feeney provided additional scoring options that made the Timberwolves difficult to defend.

Jackson entered the District 1 4A Tournament playing its best basketball of the season.

The Timberwolves went 3–0 at district, completed a season sweep of Snohomish and advanced to the Tacoma Dome with a 21–2 record.
🏟️ THE TACOMA DOME
Jackson opened the Class 4A State Tournament against a powerful Mead team and suffered a 74–59 loss. That defeat moved the Timberwolves into the consolation bracket, where every remaining game carried elimination pressure.
Jackson answered the challenge.

Jackson’s victories over Skyview and Puyallup guaranteed the Timberwolves a state trophy. They battled Mount Tahoma to the finish before falling by three points and earning eighth place in Class 4A.
