A glimpse of the past,
Rudy Galindo is a celebrated American figure skater, best known for winning the U.S. National Championship in 1996 in his hometown of San Jose, California.

His victory in 1996 was notable as it came after a career marked by challenges, including the loss of his brother and long-time coach, and it made him the oldest U.S. singles champion in 60 years. Galindo went on to win a bronze medal at the World Championships in 1996 and was inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 2013.
