That 2 for 1 Special. Have a look! Double 1 Pound Fish! ๐Ÿคฃ Yes we eat triggerfish too aka Da Hagi. Hawaii fisherman typically considers this fish as the most least desired fish on our reefs but in other areas of the world it's a delicacy. And can definitely be made delicious with their shrimp like textured meat, and easy to catch.

Practicing the Art of Gyotaku! Gyotaku is the traditional Japanese method of printing fish, a practice which dates back to the mid-1800s. This form of nature printing was used by fishermen to record their catches, but has also become an art form of its own.

Who says you need a fancy grill or oven to make killer oysters at home? ๐Ÿ™Œ
Microwaving oysters is honestly a good way to go for quick, delicious results. Restaurants use this method all the time.
Why it's actually a GREAT idea:
โ€ข Ready in about 60โ€“90 seconds Per Oyster โ€“ literal game changer when you're craving them NOW
โ€ข Steams them perfectly in their own shell liquor (super juicy, never dry)
โ€ข Way less mess than shucking + grilling
How I do it:
Cover loosely with a damp paper towel
Microwave 45โ€“90 seconds on high relatively to per oyster.
Then add tabasco, shoyu, lemon, or whatever you desire, go wild with experimenting with flavors is fun!
Low effort, high reward seafood dinner sorted ๐Ÿฆชโœจ
Have you tried the microwave oyster hack yet? Drop a ๐Ÿฆช if you're tempted to try!

๐ŸŒฟ Nothing beats homemade pickled warabi aka fiddle head fern! ๐Ÿซ™โœจ
Hereโ€™s why we're obsessed with pickling our own batch of these curly green fiddleheads straight from the islands:
That fresh, crisp crunch โ€” store-bought can get mushy, but when you pickle them yourself, they stay perfectly snappy with that signature earthy, succulent vibe.
Flavor exactly how YOU like it โ€”Easy common way is tweak the shoyu, vinegar, chili pepper, or garlic to make it your own. Spicy? Tangy? Mild? All up to you! ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Super fresh & local โ€” grabbing hoโ€˜iโ€˜o from the farmers market or the forest (safely, of course ๐Ÿ‘€) and turning it into pickles feels like pure aloha. Support local, taste the โ€˜ฤina!
Itโ€™s actually pretty easy โ€” blanch, cool, jar, and let the magic happen in the fridge. A few days later? Absolute game-changer for salads, poke bowls, or just straight snacking.
Pride level 100 โ€” thereโ€™s something so satisfying about opening your own jar and knowing you made it from scratch. Ono to the max! ๐Ÿ˜‹
