This Juneteenth, we recognize a day of long-overdue freedom.

For decades, some of the greatest players who ever lived were shut out of the majors, so they built their own. The Negro Leagues gave us players like Josh Gibson and Satchel Paige, brilliance that packed ballparks long before the majors made room.

When Jackie Robinson stepped onto Ebbets Field in 1947, he opened a door, one that generations of players have walked through to redefine the game.

So much of what we love about baseball exists because African American players refused to be told the game wasn't theirs. Today, we celebrate their legacy and the continued excellence of players of color today.

Getting ahead of the competition is the whole point of practice. So why train the same way as the players you're trying to beat?

The PX3 puts you in gamelike conditions. So you're not just aimlessly hitting balls, you're actively getting better with every swing.

For most of baseball history, elite hitting development has been about budget.

Well-funded programs don’t just have better facilities; they have better feedback. Their hitters were told immediately what their swing was doing and how to fix it.

Advanced tech is closing that gap. ProBatter is bringing that same elite training to the masses. Take it from a real PX3 user; this training system is the closest thing around to hitting against a real player.

The next great hitter should be discovered by how they trained, not where they grew up.

On this day in 1888, "Casey at the Bat" first appeared in the San Francisco Examiner, and its author was too embarrassed to sign it.

Ernest Thayer thought the poem was bad verse, so he hid behind the pen name "Phin" and figured that was the end of it. It went on to become the most famous baseball poem ever written, recited on vaudeville stages and memorized by generations of fans.

Funny how that works. The thing Thayer was sure no one would remember outlived everything else he wrote.

Today, the baseball community honors legendary New York Yankees player Lou Gehrig.
We celebrate his incredible achievements both on and off the field. In 1939, Gehrig was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a disease that came to bear his name.

June 2nd marks both the day Gehrig became the Yankees' starting first baseman and the day he passed away from the disease in 1941.

Gehrig played 2,130 consecutive games. That discipline is the heart of how we think about development at ProBatter: not one perfect swing, but the work to show up again and again
We tip our caps to Lou.

On May 28, 1946, Yankee Stadium hosted its first-ever night game.

Unfortunately for the home team, the Washington Senators spoiled the occasion, edging the Yankees 2-1.

Night baseball opened the game up to working fans who couldn't make afternoon games, changing attendance, culture, and the way America experienced baseball forever!

On May 27, 1968, two future Hall of Famers were born on the exact same day:

⚾️ Frank Thomas, “The Big Hurt,” went on to hit 521 home runs and post a .301 career average across 19 seasons with the White Sox, earning two AL MVP awards.

⚾️ Jeff Bagwell spent his entire career in Houston, finishing with 449 home runs, a .297 average, and the 1994 NL MVP. One of the most feared hitters of his generation.
