⚾ Game Recap: Milford Legion Post 196 (19U) 6, Ansonia 2

Milford Legion Post 196 continued its strong start to the season with a 6-2 victory over Ansonia on Wednesday, fueled by a 12-hit offensive attack and dominant pitching.

Jake Jasminski led the charge at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a double and two singles. Nate Cole and Quentin Bell also collected multiple hits as Milford consistently put pressure on the Ansonia defense.

Milford struck first in the second inning before Ansonia briefly grabbed a 2-1 lead in the fourth. Post 196 responded in a big way in the sixth, scoring four runs behind doubles from Jasminski, Mike Breunig, and Quentin Bell to take control of the game.

On the mound, Chris Yannella kept Milford in the game with a strong start, allowing just three hits and no earned runs while striking out nine over four innings. Keith Vail was lights out in relief, tossing three hitless innings with five strikeouts to earn the win.

⚾ MILFORD LEGION POST 196 19U GAME RECAP

Milford Legion Post 196 4, Post 68 Baseball 19U 3

Milford Post 196 battled back and showed plenty of grit Sunday afternoon, walking off Post 68 with a 4-3 victory.

Trailing 3-1 late, Milford rallied to tie the game in the sixth inning behind a clutch RBI double from Quentin Bell and a productive groundout from Nate Cole. With the game deadlocked at 3-3 in the bottom of the seventh, V. Hine delivered the game-winning hit, driving in the winning run and sending Milford home with a dramatic victory.

Keith Vail was outstanding in relief, earning the win with three scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while striking out three. Parise kept Milford within striking distance with a solid start, working four innings.

At the plate, Quentin Bell paced the offense with two RBIs, while Christian Galligan, Jake Jasminski, V. Hine, Bell, John Messore, and Adam Ruskin each recorded a hit. Milford also turned a key double play on defense.

A complete team effort and a resilient comeback earn Post 196 another hard-fought victory.
