Thank you to the 34 players who came out the first B-tier event at Pugatory DGC!
This is the second year we have hosted the three-rounds in a day event, Survive the Solstice. Thank you to Skip DeWall and Grandma Bob's Pizza for sponsoring this event and taking care of our players. Make sure to plan a day in Corktown and get some more delicious pizza! It is Caryn’s favorite pizza place - be sure to get some of that pepperoni with hot honey!
The course has never looked better. Derek Ballou has put in so much time and effort into the design and maintenance. It is a feat I am beyond proud of and hope you all appreciated the care and detail he has put into this place. Thank you to Skip, who has been supporting us here since the first day he met us. Your support has been invaluable.
Now to the survivors!
Austen Bates had a dominant performance in MPO, taking home first place and $500. We would like to congratulate Jonah Harman, who fought up two positions in the final round, into fourth place. Congratulations on becoming a professional disc golfer!
Josh Taylor came out for the first time and commanded the course, taking home first in MP40 and $350.
Caryn Murray Ballou took home the win in her backyard.
Congratulations and THANK YOU to Chess Venis, for taking the amateur women’s win and making a delicious gluten-free carrot cake.
Paxton LeGrand took down the MA1 division.
Adam Moul secured the win in MA2.
Mitchell Shirak pulled down MA3.
Hunter Fritts prevailed in MA4.
Michael Pirkle won in MA50.
Tournament OB is coming down for the leagues. We will playing both longs and shorts at our Friday night leagues going forward, starting this Friday.
Again, we're so happy and thankful for the support. 34 players is the new high for attendees at an event here. We enjoy sharing this place with you.
Can't wait for the next one.
