It is with mixed emotions that I share the news that after 18 years in business, AKF will be closing its Dojo on Saturday, April 15, 2023.

As sad as this new is, I can’t help but look back and smile thinking of all the good times shared over the years with so many wonderful families. It was a great run and I am grateful to have been part of it.

First let me give a big ‘Thank You’ to the hundreds (if not thousands) of students that have passed through our doors over the years, it was a privilege watching the continuous growth and discipline that came with your dedication and training over the years.

Secondly, to all the instructors that made it all possible. I am so impressed with the passion you have for martial arts and your abilities to teach your craft, especially to our younger students who require much more patience than I would have ever had. You guys are the best and I was so lucky to have you all on team AKF.

Current & Past Instructors: Ralph Porzio, Anthony Deluca, Connor Breen, Ryan Walsh, Aaron McIsaac, Robin Horsefield, Meg Farnum, Mike Rocheleau, Laura Chauvin, our entire leadership team, and many more over the years.

Operations Team: Rob Deluca, Moni Horsefield, Garrett Handley, and others. Also special thanks to Kathy Deluca for her continued support over the years.

I always said that Sensei John would never have asked me to continue running the school after his passing unless he knew I had the right people around me to make that happen and the fact that we kept this going for 11 years without him says a lot about all of us. I know he is looking down on us today and is proud of what we have been able to accomplish together.

Again, it has been a pleasure and an honor to work alongside all of you and I will miss my AKF family tremendously.
