Presidents’ Day is a reminder of the responsibility and sacrifice that leadership requires.
We honor those who have led before — and encourage the next generation of leaders to rise. 🇺🇸

Milford Center has an opportunity to participate in a grant application for $700,000. The success of this Grant will require residents’ participation by completing a survey to identify needs and attending the Community meetings. The survey should take only a few minutes. The first meeting was held on Monday (1/12) with the next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 2/17 at 6pm; please mark your calendars. The meeting will be at the Village Hall located at 16 W Center St. Attendance at the meeting is important to stay informed and completion of the survey is needed so the results can establish a framework that will guide decisions relative to community revitalization needs.

After the February meeting, the grant application timeline is as follows:
March- Additional meetings will be held to gather resident surveys.
Early April- Results of the survey will be tallied up by Thomas
April and May- Additional resident meetings will occur to go over survey results and discuss project proposals for the village engineer, Choice One Engineering, to price out. Thomas and an engineer from Choice One will work with the Village to prioritize projects and develop a budget with formal cost estimates for the grant application.
Early to Mid-June- Grant Application Completed by Thomas and Submitted to the State of Ohio for Funding Consideration

Eligible projects include, but are not limited to:
Flood and drainage improvements, including sanitary/storm sewer and curb/gutter improvements, in areas not covered by the 2025 critical infrastructure grant
Parks and Recreation Facility Improvements, such as adding a walking trail around the village park, adding in new playground equipment, improving the basketball court, or repaving the park parking lot
Residential and Village Property Sidewalks, especially if used to improve accessibility to village owned assets, like the village park
Water Facilities, like waterline main replacement or a reverse osmosis water fill up station for softer drinking water
Public Safety/Fire Protection, like fire hydrant replacement or street lighting improvements
Residential Demolition for cooperating property owners with blighted properties or Union County Health Department condemned properties
Street Improvements, such as street milling/repaving or new street signs

Surveys can be picked up and dropped off at the Post Office, or accessed online at this link:

Again, this is a great opportunity for our Community, but needs your involvement. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and if available your attendance at the upcoming meetings would be greatly appreciated.

🪦 In Loving Memory of 67 🪦
Born: February 7, 2025
Died: January 29, 2026
Cause of Death: Overuse

Today we gather to remember 67 — a phrase that began its life loud, confident, and inexplicably catchy.

Born from a song, raised by highlight edits, and carried into classrooms and comment sections everywhere, 67 quickly became more than a number. It became a sound. A gesture. A reflex.

At its peak, 67 could be heard anywhere at any time, often for no clear reason at all.

But greatness comes at a cost.

Used once, it was funny.
Used twice, it was bold.
Used a thousand times a day… it became unavoidable.

67 wasn’t defeated by snow.
It wasn’t canceled.
It wasn’t silenced.

It was simply… used too much.

Rest now, 67.
You shouted loudly.
You lingered longer than expected.
And you will be remembered — whether we like it or not.

Forever iconic.
Finally retired.
