This is Grace several days after she was moved to a new setting. She anxiously wore a trench in the ground from constantly pacing back and forth in her new pen. On this day, as soon as I entered her pen, she walked over to me and laid down. She was finally ready to rest with me there to watch over her.
Just like Grace waiting until she was completely worn and exhausted, we often hold onto tension far longer than necessary when navigating the unknown. Sometimes we need to surrender our guard and our fears and let our minds and bodies settle into stillness.
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27
