Round 1 of the AMA D14 Hare Scramble Whiskey Creek Campground didn’t disappoint this weekend. Maximus Bunton took 3rd in the 85 Sr class during the youth race and followed it up with a 12th place finish in the 12–18C class on the Beta 200. The track was rough, but every lap was a chance to improve. Grateful for the opportunity to race and keep building.

Another fun weekend for the SLI Racing crew Valley Trail Riders Motorcycle Club for the AMA District 14 Enduro Family Enduro series on Saturday and Enduro series on Sunday.

The youngest member of our team, Emerson, got to race in the wobbler event Saturday morning. A 20 minute race may have done him in, but after a short pit stop and LOTS of encouragement he finished.

Josh and Max finished the Family Enduro with Max taking 3rd place in his class and Josh finishing 8th. What becomes the most fun to watch is not the places they get but the friendships being formed between the kids and their families. What a great race series to be a part of!

Josh completed 54 miles for the Enduro race today taking 2nd place in his class.

Happy Father's Day to all you racing and pit crew dads!

For Father's Day weekend the SLI Racing crew put in some work at Valley Trail Riders Motorcycle Club with a Father/Son race on Saturday afternoon, a Stacyc race Saturday evening, 2 riders in the am race Sunday and 1 rider in the pm race.

Saturday was a great day with Josh and Max taking 3rd in their class for the Father/Son race. Even with a fuel issue and having to adjust who was riding which laps this crew pushed to the end!

Emerson had his debut race on his Stacyc and while not feeling well was second off the start but fell behind after missing the 3rd turn on the track. He came in 5th overall and finished with a huge smile on his face saying "I won!"

Sunday didn't yield the results we were hoping for in the am race. After missing a couple of crucial turns (a theme for the weekend!) and getting significantly off track Max came in 9th and Parker finished 10th. While a bummer it is part of racing with lessons learned.

The pm race went much better with Joshua taking the hole shot and placing 3rd for the 35+C class.

Another great weekend of racing for the SLI Racing team!

We started our weekend in Matthews, IN on Saturday, for the AMA District 14 Enduro Family Enduro Series at Muddobbers Motorcycle Club. After a perfect 1st lap, the boys went out strong the second lap but ended with a few points which landed the following places:
Max ‐ 2nd place in the 12-13 class
Josh - 7th place in the 16-39 class

Holding strong after 3 races in 1st place overall for both Max and Josh in their respective classes. A fun race series with great competition and even greater friends!

After our race we traveled to Muskegon, MI for a the AMA District 14 Hare Scrambles at Muskegon Motorcycle Club. A few mistakes for Max in the AM race and a wicked hill climb for Josh in the PM class landed the following places:
Max - 2nd in the 65-85cc 9-13 y.o. class - taking 14th overall out of 110 riders in the AM race
Josh - 7th in the 35+C class

Now to rest, reset and get ready for the next race at Valley Trail Riders Motorcycle Club next weekend.

The SLI racing team had a Family Enduro in May with Josh placing 12th and Max placing 3rd. They ran a bit fast and for this partucular race series that costs you more points. We love the friendly competition and look forward to the rest of the season.
