General Rules:

1. One water or PYOP burnout only, Unless there is an obvious failure.

2. No time trials. Straight off the trailer, clocks off. NO test passes between rounds.

3. Bye run is random drawing. 1 per car unless everyone has had one. all bye runs, including competition bye, must break the beams under power.

4. All entries must pass track tech.

5. To keep the show on schedule, we reserve the right to limit cooldown between rounds to no less than 20 minutes. A 2 minute warning will be given if there is a limit, and you will be disqualified if you cannot make the call.

6. 2 Minute rule will be enforced if there is a mechanical issue on the start line that can be resolved in that amount of time. Anymore time given is at the discretion of the other driver or track officials.

7. No double entries on cars or drivers.

8. No driver or car substitutions allowed after race begins.

9. First is worst.

10. Chip draw after every round. Come to The Doorslammers tent right after each round to draw. If you or a representative
are not present, you will be drawn for. Any changes to line up after chip draw must be approved by racemaster AND both
drivers.

11. Make sure you collect your round win money before the next round starts. If you do not collect your money, it will be forfeited and put into your classes general pot.

12. Race master has the final say.

Small Tire

1. 28x10.5 non w or 275/60 max tire size.

2. Engine diaper/belly pan required.

3. Door cars/trucks only. Must have steel roof and quarters. Unless factory.

4. No external weights outside the body lines. Must be secured.

5. No wheelie bars.

$75 buy in goes to pot. 80/20 split.

2nd Chance:

For 1st round losses only. Must sign up right after the round ends. Chip draw every round.

$40 buy in.

Payouts:

Small tire: $50 per round won. 80/20 split on what’s left in pot. Guaranteed $1000.

2nd chance: $40 per round won. 80/20 split on what’s left in pot. Guaranteed $500.

Weekend recap. We went to Thunder Valley Raceway @ Bethany, Mo. for the 2nd race of the Doorslammers Series. Every car that entered this race had the potential to win the event. It was a phenomenal group of cars and people that showed up and showed out!!! 1st round we drew Chris Magers and his 3rd gen Camaro. I felt that I needed a very hot burnout and I did just that. (Too much 🤣)
This was the 1st time that we’ve had Jezebel at this track with the big block so we were guessing at tune ups. I turned it way down but it was still to much power early and struck the tires before the 60’.
Bought into the 2nd chance and got a bye the 1st round and got a somewhat of an idea what we could do to make the trip.
For the final round we got Nick Magers and his Nova, Nick is a young and upcoming driver and having great success with his hotrod so I knew I was gonna need to be on the light….well I turned on the big red eye!!! That’s the way it is sometimes. Live or die by the light. All in all for the 1st time back out this season with the car I’m not disappointed. We’ve definitely found more power in it, just gonna have to learn to manage it better. We will be back out with the car again at Thunder Valley for their July 4th celebration!!! Come see us, it’ll be one for the books and very unforgettable!!!

Update: Been getting several questions about the current situation with the car this year. Well….I’ve found several serious issues with the engine. Specifically the heads, and valve train. Kept finding excessive lash with 5&7 intake rockers after setting them and rechecking after 30 seconds of run time. Found that intake rocker stand is bent in the shape of a horseshoe when removed therefore with all the tension bolted to the head the stand pulled all the threads out of the inserts of the head. (Wondered why the stands had been welded). A great portion of all the threads for any hardware that bolts to the heads (intake, rockers stands, etc etc) were absolutely destroyed. Most held in place with large amounts of silicone. Intake bolts that were way too long and hitting the pushrods for the intake valves, 5 destroyed lifters, and a few mis matched and odd length pushrods. I do believe that the pushrods started out as same length when new but after being hammered to s**t that was no longer the case. Heads are being repaired, parts are on the way and we will be back out at some point this season. Thought we were fast with 6 cylinders??! Wait til I having it breathing thru all 8!!!!

Just an update on Jezebel. We are making some changes and don’t look like we are gonna make the 1st door slammers race on May 23rd. We’ll definitely be at the races just won’t have the car with us. Stay tuned!!!
