Fall classic night 2: 🤏🏻 lil’ better-ish

Crashed 8 seconds into the b main, junked both of my chrome wheels, tie rod end lower control arm, spindle and balljoint. Ended up with the “bad boy” provisional (my words, not theirs) and started 27th in the feature. Finished 21st. That’s fine, it was nice to get 27 straight laps in to really figure out how to run the new car at Ogilvie. Thank you for everyone that offered and helped get the car back together! After assessing damage both from the crash and the completely junked feature tires, Running the topless is up in the air, might save the thousand + dollars and put that toward being ready to rock n roll for ‘27 season. Thanks to the sponsors that pitched in on this goofy race season and also huge thank you to Laurisa Richardson (Elite Portable Toilets) for the Driver sponsorship to pay my entry fee!

Night 1 at the fall classic: 👎🏻

Had a carburetor stumble during the entire heat race. Hopefully we got er fixed up and ready for the B-main bad boys tonight.

This car is awesome, no doubt about that. Few more ponies under the hood and we’re gonna be a thorn in the side of the fast guys, I’ve got about 70 laps on this new car and I already can’t wait for the fall classic. Shout out to the track prep crew for having a damn good race track considering we got all the rain we needed during the summer came this weekend.
And shout out to AceMedia for making me blush Friday night when he said I got a badass looking race car.

Barbara’s Debut results at Gondik law speedway: 6th to 3rd in the feature. Tip-toeing around the top side got us a cozy spot in 2nd, crossed the start finish line half a car in front of Andrew Hanson on what I thought was the checkered flag…turns out it wasn’t. I guess the last few months off didn’t help my basic understanding of the flags. Great start with plenty of wiggle room to tweak. Thanks to Johnny-boy for all the help the last couple weeks to get us in a spot to finally be race ready. Thanks to my Dad and to my cousin Kodi for the help and hauling us up to superior in style.

Bi-Monthly status update:

Barbara is dangerously close to being a full blown race car. Road blocks, long nights, 1,653 parts orders, and an incredible amount of caffeine has landed us to hopefully driving out of the garage today. Building a car from bare frame definitely wasn’t easy. As long as she doesn’t explode in flames or hit a deer on my test drive our tentative schedule is as follows:

Didn’t race last weekend and extremely bummed to be missing the Street Stock Tour swing in our neighborhood this coming weekend but I’ve made the official decision a week ago to put ‘Doris’ out to pasture… she’s been a good race car and if it wasn’t for Brett selling me this car I wouldn’t even have made jump into dirt track racing. But, on to new and exciting experiences with a fresh hot rod that I’ll hopefully have rockin’ and rollin’ as soon as possible. Long nights and weekends in the shop to be had but if it wasn’t for the last minute I wouldn’t get anything done, good luck to all my friends this weekend and hope the stands are packed with streeter fans at all 3 tracks! Play on, playa’s 😉
