Yes, Sight-In Sunday is still on for tomorrow, Sunday, November 9, 2025! Doors open at 9 am.

Yes, we've seen the weather report and we're banking on only light sprinkles of rain. However, in case it is more than light sprinkles, the cook-out will be a cook-in!

The hot dogs and burgers will be in the clubhouse starting at about 11:30 am. Coney Island hot dog chili, apple cake, snacks and drinks will all be in the clubhouse plus any side dishes that anyone brings.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL WHO CAME TO CLEAN UP AND REPAIR DAY TODAY!!

We got our whole list of projects completed and things look better than ever. Lots of improvements, too!

So, come sight-in your rifles to get ready for deer season, see all the great work that got done today, and join us for a cook-in at 11:30am in the clubhouse! We should be wrapping up by 1:00 pm.

This is just a friendly reminder that the next membership meeting of the Mainville Sportsmen's Club will be this Thursday, October 16, 2025, starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Clubhouse.

As usual, dinner will be served starting at 6:00 p.m. - in support of the club, a donation to the kitchen would be greatly appreciated!

Don't forget that we have down-range warning lights on the rifle range now - don't forget to use them. There is a sign on every post explaining how to use them.
Range rules are on the Club website at https://www.mainvillesportsmensclub.org/range-rules/ in case you lost your paper copy. Please review them periodically!

The Club calendar is updated as soon as schedule changes are announced, so be sure to check that out at https://www.mainvillesportsmensclub.org/calendar/

We have been getting complaints that some folks are no longer receiving these reminder emails. That is because our mail program automatically removes the email address of anyone who hasn't opened any one of these emails in over 6 months. If you don't want to miss that one email that is important to you, just open an email from time to time - you don't even have to read the whole thing!

🎯 Hey there, shooter! 🎯

Just a quick heads-up on our rifle range's existing safety protocol. You'll spot those big, red buttons on the posts in front of the benches? Those activate the overhead red strobe lights. 🚨

When you're headed down-range, be it to post, check or retrieve targets PLEASE follow the range rules and press one of those red buttons. It's letting everyone know it's not safe to shoot or handle fi****ms. Every shooter must unload, ground their rifle and step back from the benches.

Once everyone's back behind the benches, give that button a twist to deactivate the lights. Easy peasy! There's even a sign above each button explaining how to do it, just in case. 😉

Here's a little secret – even if it's just you out there, always use the lights. You never know when someone might pull up and start shooting before you can get back. Better safe than sorry, right? 🤔

And hey, if you show up and the lights are on, wait until whoever activated them is back and has turned them off. Safety first, remember? 😎

Now, let's keep our range a fun and safe space for everyone. Stay alert, stay safe, and happy shooting! 🎉

ALWAYS THINK SAFETY FIRST!

MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR THE NEXT BULLSEYE ZOMBIE SHOOT: OCT. 2, 2025!

The September 25 shoot turned out great! Rain subsided at 5PM as Doppler Radar promised and we had a wonderful shoot.

100yd Bullseye was won by Mike Frandzen who shot a clean 200 with 17X’s.

Dennis Chapin was the 1st loser with a 199.

The Silhouette Match that we held under the new lights was won by Linda Chapin. She came in 1st as Top Woman, and also as Top Overall shooter with a score of 35/40.

Outstanding Linda!

Next Match will he held on Thursday, October 2, 2025. We will try to start at 5PM promptly. It will be 100 yards, and it may be another Bullseye Zombie with time constraints.

It was very well received last time, and I have a bunch of Zombie’s that have proliferated, so we must reduce that population!

We’ll decide at the range.

Either way, be prepared to shoot standard 100-yard targets at the least. 200 yard is out because the targets are tough to discern in diminished daylight.

REMINDER: 100 YD SILHOUETTE SHOOT AT 5 PM THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2025!!

The scheduled shoot for tomorrow is currently planned as a 100yd Silhouette shoot, however if it is raining lightly, we will try to get a bullseye shoot in. If the rain stops by the time the bullseye match is over, we can try to do a silhouette shoot afterwards with the larger ‘now newly bright white’ silos. Only one match fee whether you shoot 1 or both matches. The rain is dubious at best so we’ll do the Bullseye first anyway. I’d really like to try some silhouettes afterward at dusk using our new lights!

Range is closed at 5:15 PM, Safety meeting and Bullseye afterward, UNLESS you guys vote for the silhouette match only.

Hold your questions, we’ll answer them at the range. I’m prepared to conduct either or both matches, but due to diminished daylight, the Bullseye has to be first.
