Halfway through the season, the High Tides are 3-0! Last night’s meet against Magnolia Green was a little chilly but our swimmers were burning up those lanes. Way to go! KONA-gratulations are in order for a team that is super SWEET and super COOL. Fun practice and Kona Ice Truck this morning then team pool party tomorrow - what a week!! 🖤💛

While we continue to prepare for tonight's meet against Magnolia Green, let's take a moment to celebrate another senior swimmer! Read on to hear more about Ellie Mierenfeld!

Ellie began her swimming journey at just four years old with the Walton Park Waves, where she first discovered her love for the water. She swam summer seasons with the Waves for many years before continuing her development in the winter months with the YMCA Tidal Waves.

At age 10, she began competitive swimming with SwimRVA, and from that point on, she never looked back. Her dedication and hard work have led to her biggest accomplishment yet: qualifying for Summer Junior Nationals this August in Irvine, California. She has been an assistant coach for the Hallsley High Tides for two summers.

Ellie is also a proud member of the Midlothian High School swim team and is excited to continue her swimming career at James Madison University this fall.

Today's home meet will include the first of our senior celebrations for the 2026 season. Read on to hear about our first honoree: Emily Mule!

Emily has been a Hallsley High Tide every summer since 2017. She enjoyed all her time in the pool and with the team from the early years to the more recent Championship seasons! She has been a dedicated member of the High Tides with multiple Champs appearances. She took the skills learned as a High Tide and applied them as a member of the Saint Catherine's swim team for all four years of high school. Emily will be attending Liberty University in Lynchburg in the fall where she is planning a dual major in Business and Communications.

Emily, we are so proud of you and can't wait to see what's next for you! Enjoy your senior night! 🖤💛
