💙🥎 FROM 12U REC… TO 14U SELECT — AND WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED! 🥎💙

Earlier this year, we made the decision to take our Mystics 12U rec team and go SELECT.

We had no idea what to expect. We just knew we believed in these girls and wanted to give them the opportunity to grow, compete, and see what they could do.

And WOW… what a ride it has already been! 🔥

Our very first full tournament as a select team, we battled through 8 games and made it all the way to the CHAMPIONSHIP!

We finished our summer season 17-15-1, with:
🥈 2 Championship Runner-Up finishes
🏆 1 Tournament Championship

Not bad for a team that was brand new to select softball! 💪

Then fall arrived…and after a VERY short 12U select season, we had another big decision to make:

Move up to 14U.

With a team full of 7th and 8th graders, we knew it was time. But we’d be lying if we said we didn’t wonder…

Are we ready? Can we really do this? We just got started!

Well…

THE ANSWER WAS YES. 💙

This weekend, our girls stepped onto the field for their FIRST-EVER 14U tournament and showed that they absolutely belong!

🔥 Game 1: WIN 11-7
🔥 Game 2: TIE 3-3
🔥 First bracket game: WIN 6-2

We eventually dropped our next two and our tournament run came to an end, but we walked away SO incredibly excited about what we saw.

Some of our girls were nervous about moving up. We believed they could do it before they believed it themselves.

Then that first game happened.

And suddenly…THEY believed it too. 💙🥎

That may have been our favorite win of the entire weekend.

Watching the confidence, growth, fight, and progression of this team has been incredible. These girls keep surprising themselves, and there is nothing better than watching them realize just how capable they really are.

From 12U rec ➡️ 12U select ➡️ tournament champions ➡️ 14U select…all in one year.

We are SO incredibly proud of these girls.

New division. Bigger challenge. Same Mystics.

And trust us…

🔥 WE ARE JUST GETTING STARTED. 🔥

💙🥎
