Chad Bush Mini Mod Series

Thank you to everyone who supported this series since 2018. Chad was excited to start this, and I still remember him and LJ scribbling rules on a piece of receipt at dinner one night, passing it to me and saying, "make this sound better and type it up, would ya?" I don't know why I always did what they asked 😂 Maybe because I knew when they had an idea, they were gonna make it happen with or without my help. They were one hell of a team, nobody can deny that.
LJ and I stepped back from the series after we all lost Chad, and it unfortunately dwindled down to 2 races all year. In order to respect and honor Chad as we promised we would do, I am posting this to officially end the Chad Bush Mini Mod Dirt Series. There are a couple of guys who still have this type of car, and they are more than welcome to start their own series like Chad and LJ did, but it's best we end this series on a high note with Chad's dad, Calvin Bush, subbing in LJ's 73 and winning the Chad Bush Clash 2023.

A year ago today we lost the man that started this series, a man that many people called a friend. He was a competitor that would give you the shirt off his back or any part he had in his trailer. He would share any kind of knowledge he had to help you run better, a man that would help you fix your car instead of working on his own car. We love and miss you Chad Bush keep watching over us all and we’ll see you again one day 🏁

Hey mini mod guys rockfish speedway is having an open practice this Saturday if anyone would like to go check the speedways page or website for start times they are interested in the cars and maybe holding a race there for us

Here is the 2023 Chad Bush Mini Mod schedule. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone at the track, new and old faces. Same rules as last year, if you haven’t seen them they are posted on the page. Get them ready to sling some dirt and drive in circles. We hope everyone has a great season and good luck 🏁

HPP = Horse power park go kart track

Mini Mod Dirt Series 2023 Rules

ENGINE-
Must be a GX390 platform
10 bolt side cover allowed
No Billet heads
No PVL flywheel/coil
Must use factory engine mounted starter

CLUTCH-
Must be a dry centrifugal clutch
No torque converters, jack shafts or axle clutches

CHASSIS-
Minimum wheel base 58”; Maximum 61”
Maximum track width 50”

SUSPENSION-
Must be a non-adjustable shock

TIRES-
Carlisle Turf Saver 16x7.50-8; Part #5112001
Open wheel rule
Post race, tires must punch a minimum 55 when checked with a durometer
No grooving or siping tires

MISCELLANEOUS
Minimum weight 650 lbs.
Five point harness mandatory
Raceceivers are mandatory at Millbridge and Mountain Creek Speedways.
*No whining
