30 year throwback….. As the unofficial end of summer (Labor Day) is upon us, we want to share one of our summer intensives pics. We trained every summer, 2-4 weeks, at the EDGE Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles from the year it opened until it closed with Covid. This professional dance studio brought us innumerous artistic & technical experiences that shaped our dancers, teachers and the dance world today. It was a place that shaped & provided opportunities for the dance/entertainment world. Our dancers danced in classes with professionals from all over the world. It was all about the heart of a dancer; dancing all styles, training, sharing & expressing their art in an artistic environment. We danced everyday all day but Sundays. Gosh, we miss the EDGE!💃🏻🕺
Every year we traditionally took a picture outside the front door and went to the beach.(we had to see the beach at least one Sunday😉).

We have countless memories of our summers in Hollywood, from taking class with stars🌟, auditioning for possible dance jobs, to our favorite food at Farmers Market, Ed Debevics, & Johnny Rockets, the movie premiers at Mann Chinese & El Capitan Theatres, to random movie star sightings in the grocery store, fun days at the beach and loads of laughing in between the sweating & soreness. 💚🌴🥰

Fine Arts are not outside the academic program. They are part of it.

In Texas, art, dance, music and theatre are grounded in the Fine Arts Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills—the TEKS. These standards establish what students should know and be able to do, creating a rigorous, sequential course of learning from one grade level to the next.

Texas law also includes Fine Arts within the required enrichment curriculum that school districts must offer. That distinction matters: Fine Arts are not an extracurricular reward, an expendable elective or a decorative addition to the school day. They are an essential part of a complete public education.

Strong Fine Arts programs require the same intentional support we expect for every essential area of learning: qualified educators, protected instructional time, aligned curriculum, appropriate facilities and materials, and equitable access for students.

When we treat Fine Arts as essential learning, we give students the opportunity to build knowledge, develop their abilities and experience the kind of sustained growth that only rigorous arts instruction can provide.

Fine Arts belong in every student’s education.

30 year throwback!…. It’s Fair time = talent show, entertainment & fair fun and we did it all! What started out as the girls asking the guys to do a swing number with them turned into the guys wanting to do more. Swing time & a little Jailhouse Rock made their mark at the Permian Basin Fair. We were really proud of the hard work these guys put into dancing with our girls! They won the talent show, had a great time entertaining 💃🏻🕺& took some fantastic pictures!🤩

Sometimes our little ones are way cuter when mom’s not watching! 🥰🤩 The first days of our 26/27 dance season are in the records. We are all a bit sore but having a loving it all!
Enrollment is ongoing until classes are full! Come dance with us!🩰

Our 30 year throwback….”Luck Be A Lady” was our first duet competition number at LA Underground in 1997. Caroline Babb & Chelsie Montgomery did a Fabulous job representing the studio with this number at several conventions/competitions/performances! 💚💃🏻🫶🏻 They set our standard of excellence.

30 year Throwback… Dance Travel bonding! Posing by our 20 passenger van! Yep! They all fit! 😍 We traveled to a dance workshop with Cindera Che at The Dance Academy in Clovis, NM. What a weekend, dancing all day and slumber party at night!💚
