📢 GIM Update🤸‍♀️💙

First and foremost, THANK YOU to our incredible community for your love, support, and generosity. The past few days have been challenging, but your kindness has lifted us up and reminded us why GIM Gymnastics is more than just a gym—it’s a family.

The outpouring of kindness—from those offering temporary gym space and equipment to the countless messages of encouragement—has truly reinforced how special our gymnastics family is and how supportive our Middleville and surrounding communities are.

As we continue working through the initial phases of recovery, we are assessing the best path forward for our gymnasts, our staff, and those eager to begin their gymnastics journey. This includes exploring options for rebuilding, determining timelines, and evaluating interim training solutions. We are also looking into fundraising opportunities to help cover costs and keep our Coaches employed during the transition, as running GIM Gymnastics has always been a family and passion project rather than a full-time business.

In the meantime, we will keep everyone updated through email and our social media channels as plans progress and fundraising opportunities come to fruition.

A special THANK YOU to the Schnell Family for their incredible generosity in setting up a GoFundMe page to help support our dedicated staff during this transition and assist with rental space or other opportunities to ensure our athletes can continue training!! *GIM Update* First, we want to THANK everyone for their outpouring of love and support for our gym! We don't have any information at this time on what caused the fire, but we are beyond grateful that no classes were happening and no staff were in the building. Materials can be replaced, people cannot.

This is an incredibly difficult time for our athletes, families, and staff, but we want you to know that we are committed to working through this together.

*For Team Families: The Girl Power Gymnastics Meet is still ON for this weekend since it is being held in Novi. I have to be on-site to coach and while I appreciate condolences, please know that I am having an extremely difficult time and I want to ensure I can stay as strong as possible for the girls. Please help me stay strong, and know that while I would love to talk to you all about what is happening, please refrain from asking questions and offering sympathies. I know your support is there and I love you for that- let's get through this weekend together!!

*For Current Class Families: I will soon be actively working on a plan to address class credits, reimbursements, and what the future looks like. As soon as I know what direction we are and will be able to go in, I will post updates here and also be communicating by email as normal. Your patience is appreciated.

*For our Community: I want to extend our deepest gratitude to the first responders who worked tirelessly to battle the fire today and law enforcement who ensured everyone’s safety while driving up and down busy M37 in front of the gym. Your bravery and dedication mean the world to me, and my family and I are beyond grateful for your service to our Middleville community!

Thank you for your grace, support, patience, and understanding during this time as we work through all of the moving pieces. Our gymnastics family is strong, and we will get through this together! Stay tuned for updates.
