πŸŽ‰ ONE YEAR OF STRIDE! β€οΈπŸ–€

Six runners. One location. One vision.

One year ago, Stride Running Club began in Middletown, CT, with six young athletes: Lucca, Phoebe, Alden, Levi, Nicholas, and Owen.

Today, we're growing to 50+ runners, ages 8–18, across THREE locations: Middletown, Madison, and Greenwich!

And what an incredible year it's been!

πŸ† USATF XC Nationals: Two athletes competed, with one earning All-American honors!

πŸ† AAU XC Nationals: Another national competitor and another All-American!

⏱️ Sub-5 Mile: A Stride athlete broke the five-minute mile barrier as a 7th grader!

πŸƒ National Track Championships: Our athletes competed at New Balance Nationals and Nike Nationals!

β˜€οΈ Stride Academy: We launched our first weeklong summer running camp!

❀️ Stride Foundation: We established our 501(c)(3) nonprofit to help create opportunities for young athletes.

But Stride is about so much more than fast times and medals.

We're here for the first-time runner discovering a new passion. The competitive athlete chasing national championships. And the multisport athlete who wants to become faster, stronger, and more confident in their primary sport.

Some of our strongest runners joined Stride to become better athletes in other sports!

It's about personal records, first finish lines, new friendships, and discovering what's possible through hard work and determination.

To our original six, thank you for starting this journey with us.

To every athlete, parent, coach, and supporter who has joined us along the way, thank you for believing in Stride and helping us build something special.

We started with six. We're growing to more than 50. And we're just getting started!

β€οΈπŸ–€ Happy 1st Anniversary, Stride!

These are just a few of the Stride runners that competed at the MMSL Conference Championship yesterday. The boys took home the trophy for Beman Middle School with a finish order of 1st, 3rd, 6th, 7th, and 9th. For the girls, a great effort for a 3rd place team finish. Lucca Pickman grabbed a medal with a 3rd place overall, Phoebe Farrell finished 14th, and Stride newcomer Deirdre McKenna grabbed 20th. Great job, Steve Mckeever with these kids!

Separate from the Beman results, Stride boys grabbed 7 out of the top 9 spots, but that quickly changed to 8 out of the top 9 with another addition shortly after the race.

Come see Beman and Stride conquer the hills of Wickham Park on November 7th at the 33rd CT Middle School State Cross Country Championship!

There is still time to join Stride for our Cross Country National Championship season, and keep an eye out for our Winter indoor track season!

Stride Running Club is looking for one 2026 Junior Olympic Postseason Sponsor to help our athletes take the next step.

A $2,500 sponsorship will cover the Junior Olympic entry fees for approximately 35 Stride athletes as they begin their journey through the USATF Junior Olympic Cross Country postseason.

And this group isn't simply looking for an opportunity to participate.

Stride enters the postseason with some exciting possibilities β€” including a 13–14 girls team with a legitimate opportunity to contend for a national championship.

But first, they have to earn their way there.

Our postseason journey begins in Connecticut, continues to the Region 1 Championships in Berwick, Maine, and for those who qualify, culminates at the USATF National Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships in Lafayette, Louisiana.

What does our sponsor receive?

We'll produce a custom sponsor banner prominently featuring your business or organization. It will hang on the Stride team tent throughout our Junior Olympic postseason β€” at our Connecticut races, Regionals in Maine, and Nationals in Louisiana. After that, we will continue to fly the banner throughout our winter track season.

$2,500. One sponsor. Approximately 35 young athletes whose Junior Olympic entry fees are covered.

If your business would like to stand behind a group of talented young runners chasing some pretty ambitious goals, we'd love to have you along for the journey.

Send us a message to become Stride Running Club's 2026 Junior Olympic Postseason Sponsor.

Sponsorship provided through Stride Running Club Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Help get them to the starting line. They'll take it from there.

The Beman Middle School boys cross country kept rolling yesterday, moving to 5-0 on the season, with 3 top 5 sweeps and 2 wins with 5 finishers out of the top 6. No surprise Alden Comeau continues his mastery, winning every race by a good margin. Look for him to be in strong contention for the state championship at Wickham Park on November 7th. Levi Boudreau, 7th grade, is working hard as well, finishing as the 2nd Beman boy in every race. Returning runner Owen Ferrall, 8th grade, first time runner Chase Youngberg (8th), and Brady Comeau (6th) jockey for spots 3-5 for Beman each race. While this group fills out the top, the rest of the team gets better every race. Keep it up!

Two of Connecticut's most talented runners. Each received the Connecticut AAU Athlete of the Year award. Our favorite part of running is the community. Different teams. Same goals. Keep it going, Farah & Alden!

This summer saw an incredible array of talent, just like these two, joining forces at Stride Academy as well as Northeast Kingdom Running Camp. Talk about passion!
