A bit of reflection as we say good bye today, the last day of class at Fit2Fight, after an incredible 10 years on the mat:
Since the day F2F opened its doors and invited students onto the mat, we had a vision of what the school would be. That was a place of community, providing elite instruction with integrity and belt value. That vision was achieved ten-fold, culminating to over 250 students, training and reaching personal goals, with the help of the most talented and dedicated Instructors.
It has been an amazing journey with our F2F Family, coming together to celebrate successes and leaning on each other through personal losses. Some of our unforgettable achievements:
Voted Best Martial Arts School many years running
A proud member of The Taekwondo Alliance Organization
Zoom training and fun engaging contests throughout the Pandemic
Community involvement at events like D.A.R.E. Day & National Night Out Against Crime
Partnering with amazing charitable organizations such as Kind Quilts
Kick-a-thons and Break-a-thons for charity fundraising events
Toy Drives for the Children’s Wing at Garnet Medical Center
The most epic and amazing Holiday Parties
Anti-Bullying Seminars for local schools
Many, so many, free Women’s Self-Defense Workshops
Our goal has always been to cultivate well rounded martial artists to succeed in their lives, be confident in their abilities, and make a positive impact on the world we live in. I’m proud to say that goal has been met, and every student has walked off our mat stronger and more confident. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to be a part of their journey and have them in our F2F Family!
As always, we end with our Student Creed:
“I come to train my body and my mind to the best of my ability. I will show respect for myself and others. I will be disciplined in my thoughts and actions. I choose to improve myself and the world around me”.
