Delaware Riptide Swim Team The team trains in summer from May - July in Middletown, Delaware.

Delaware Riptide Aquatics Swim Team is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1996 to provide a safe, fun competitive swim program for children of all abilities, ages 5 to 18.

The Riptide Team Board will be at Bruster’s next Wednesday, August 26, from 6:00–7:30 PM.

🏅 Come collect your Championship medals & ribbons from us!
💙 Come see your Riptide teammates and swim family!
🍦 And enjoy some Bruster’s while you’re there!

A quick update: we’re still waiting on some of the 4th-place ribbons to arrive. If they aren’t here by Wednesday, we’ll keep you posted and make sure you get them another way.

Can’t make it Wednesday? No worries! We’ll find another time to have a second Riptide meet-up so everyone has an opportunity to pick up their awards.

🏊💙 CHAMPS DECLARATION REMINDER 💙🏊

The deadline to declare for Champs is TONIGHT! ⏰

If you believe your child has qualified for CHAMPS at either the Seaford Meet or the Miles River Invitational, please declare now that they will be attending Champs.

Once the official qualifying times are received and uploaded, you’ll be able to sign up for your swimmer’s qualifying events.

The Seaford Meet results will be posted soon, and the Miles River Invitational results will be posted this afternoon.

What an incredible season it’s been! We are so proud of every Riptide swimmer and the amazing effort everyone gave at the Miles River Invitational. We already know several more swimmers earned CHAMPS qualifying times today WOO HOO! 🎉💙

💙 THANK YOU, Riptide Family & Community! 💙

We are incredibly grateful for the amazing support shown during our Swimathon fundraiser. Because of your generosity, we raised $1,700 to support our team!

Every dollar raised helps us:
🏊 Maintain and replace pool equipment
🛟 Certifications for our coaches/lifeguards
🎉 Create fun experiences and memorable events for our swimmers
💙 Keep the cost of participating on our summer swim team as affordable as possible for our families

Our team wouldn’t be what it is without the incredible support of our swimmers, families, friends, sponsors, and community. Thank you for investing in our program and helping us continue to provide a fun summer experience for every swimmer.

Several people have asked if they can still make a cash donation. Because of that, we’ll be keeping donations open through our banquet on Monday. If you’d still like to contribute, we’d be so grateful for your support.

WHAT AN INCREDIBLE SWIMATHON MORNING!

Our Delaware Riptide swimmers absolutely crushed it this morning! We are so proud of every swimmer who jumped in the pool, swam hard, and helped support our team. Check out the pictures below to see the amazing lap counts from all of our swimmers! ⭐🌊 66 laps equals a MILE!! Look how many swimmers swam a mile this morning!!

💰 We’re thrilled to announce that we have already raised over $1,400! A HUGE thank you to all of our families, friends, and supporters who have donated. Your generosity helps us maintain our equipment and continue providing affordable and fun experiences for all of our swimmers. We truly could not do it without you! 💙

Our swimmers are ready to make every lap count, and we’re asking our amazing Riptide community to help support them!

As a community-based nonprofit swim team, fundraisers like our Swimathon help us keep up with regular maintenance, replace much-needed equipment, and keep costs affordable so more swimmers have the opportunity to participate. 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

We have lots of fun and exciting things coming up as we head toward the end of our season! Please save these important dates:

📸 TEAM PICTURE — MONDAY BEFORE THE MEET

Please plan to arrive by 4:30 PM so we can get everyone together and ready for our team picture around 4:45 PM before the meet!

🏊 SWIMATHON — TUESDAY, JULY 14

Our Swimathon will take place during normal practice times!

The Junior Board will be sharing more information about the fundraiser soon. Families can support our swimmers by making a flat donation or pledging an amount per lap and donating after the Swimathon.

🎉 END-OF-YEAR PARTY — MONDAY, JULY 20 AT 6:00 PM

Come celebrate another great Riptide season with us!

We’ll begin setting up around 5:45 PM and would appreciate anyone who is interested in helping. Families will be asked to bring something to share, and the team will provide a special treat!

🚨 Practice Update 🚨

Unfortunately, due to the pool chemicals being out of balance this morning, we have to cancel all remaining practices for today.

The safety of our swimmers always comes first. Thanks for your understanding, and we’ll see everyone tonight at the meet! 🌊🏊💙

Riptide Families,

After closely monitoring the weather and speaking with the opposing team, we have decided to cancel tonight's swim meet. With storms expected and the visiting team facing a drive of over an hour, we feel this is the safest decision for everyone.

We are working to reschedule the meet and will share the new date as soon as it is confirmed.
