Happy back to school to those who start today!

Yes, I am still teaching and will continue until the weather does not allow. I am not taking on any new students until the spring, but all of my current students can still schedule.

I will only be scheduling a few days out in September. Forecasts and back to school germs can make scheduling difficult, so best to wait and see. Remember that cold nights drop water temperature, so a beautiful day with cold rainy ones before it, can mean I can't warm the pool enough for the little ones. It's warm now though, and hopefully will stay that way. If the forecast does not look great on a day you have already scheduled, try to move the lesson earlier in the week if you are able. You can always move a lesson to an earlier day or time. Reach out if you want on a wait list for an earlier day if the calendar is full.

This weather is teasing us! Pool is not ready for lessons, and cooler spring weather will be back on Sunday. I am very hopeful we can start lessons earlier this year, but despite all my efforts last year, the weather did not cooperate until June. For the early lessons, I won't open scheduling until a few days before when we feel sure about the weather. As soon as possible, I will let you all know. I am looking forward to seeing all of your kids again, and meeting some new faces!

If your child is retiring from my lessons (and yes, it happens to everyone!) please reach out and share an update. Did they reach a level of competance that you are happy with last summer? Are they doing swim team? Did it all click on vacation this winter? Did they have awesome lessons indoors somewhere? Off on a magical summer trip? I would love to see everyone again, understand when I don't, but still love to hear from you!

Hey everyone! I know we are all excited for warm days and pool time. I appreciate all the referrals you have been sending of friends and family! I don't have any answers to schedule and things for this summer and won't before May. I will get back to everyone then! Only a few more days til Spring!

It looks like there is a very strong chance of storms tomorrow afternoon effecting lessons after 3:30pm. If you are scheduled then and are able and want to move your lesson time to earlier in the day, I recommend doing so now while there are still openings.

I will start making the decisions on if we need to cancel around 3:00 tomorrow based on the forecast at that time if it is not needed sooner. We can always reschedule weather cancellations for a later date, but easiest to move lessons earlier in the day if possible.

If you have lessons scheduled this week, take a peek at the forecast. See if you can switch to an earlier day or time if the forecast is not looking good during your lesson time. Water is warm and we can do lessons in sprinkles, but not a downpour or if there is thunder.

Today was forecast to have big storms and to not be a great afternoon for lessons. Forecast now looks like today will be the best day of the week! I opened the afternoon and evening back up if anyone still wants a lesson today! I also still have a few morning times open.

This is the team my son swims for in the winter. We have had 4 great years and are starting a 5th. Little ones do not need to be able to swim the length of the pool to be on the team. There is a developmental group for those who can swim about the width of my pool and are comfortable in the water. Just sharing for those who are looking for a winter swim program.

It's so nice to see the sun after all of this rain! Pool is staying in the 80s, and more lesson dates are up. Always check back if you don't see something that works for you. The schedule is always getting more days and times as I work plans out through the summer. Remember that same day scheduling is sometimes possible. Time to dig out those goggles!

Let's get this started!

A change to this year's scheduling policy. No refunds for any scheduled lessons. Lessons may be rescheduled one time if done at least 24 hours before the lesson. If I need to cancel for weather or any reason, those lessons can be rescheduled at your convenience by messaging me. But there will be no rescheduling for lessons forgotten about, if you come late or cancel with less than 24 hours notice. You can schedule lessons the same day if this is a worry. I only have so many openings and it is hard to accommodate last minute changes.

Parking may be an issue this summer. For now, please just park in the driveway when possible (when only my blue Subaru is there. Only one car per family. I know grandparents etc sometimes like to come see, but they need to come in the same car. If there are any complaints from neighbors, I may not be able to have anyone park on our street at all. Never park in front of or within 16 feet of a mailbox other than in front of my house on evenings and Sundays. If you are able to come on foot or bike by parking at the park, or if you live close enough, please do so.

I cannot provide access to bathrooms or allow changing on my property. Please come dressed to swim, use the bathroom before heading out and have a cover up for after. Changing in the driveway is not okay (lots of neighbors cameras that children could be visible on).

Please ask any questions that you may have before scheduling.

Saturday does not look good weather wise, so keep an eye on that before scheduling then, but here is my availability and access to scheduling for the next 2 weeks. Calendly.com/wpcswim
