Max is a super kid and a very hard worker.

He really loves basketball, too!...

One of Max's best attributes is that he stays with things until he gets it.

His improvements with shooting have been astounding.
(We are surprised when he misses these days!)

As Max is going through middle school and getting stronger and growing, he has really improved his coordination skills with the ball.

Max has learned to change directions with the ball and has a number of different scoring skills to get around multiple defenders and avoid getting blocked when he gets to the basket.

He is now working with us at Level 3 ("Breakdown Moves").

Max is scoring with multiple combination moves and is shooting really well off of of the dribble and with catch and shoots!

Vic is an amazing kid and a very hard worker. He is on his way to becoming a great player as when he gets to high school.

One thing about Vic is that he works on the skills between classes, so if there is anything that he doesn't have 100% down by the end of a class, by the time that he comes to his next class, he has that skill down.

This is how players improve very rapidly.

Recently, Vic has really improved his ability to handle the ball and change the ball by conquering many change of direction skills at faster and faster speeds.

He is becoming a great shooter, too!

Since arriving at Box and One, Preston has done really great with improving his ball handling skills and athletic movements, in general.

He always asks great questions, and is really focused on getting the details down when it comes to shooting.

It's been awesome seeing Preston improve throughout the time that he has been in "Box and One" Basketball classes!

Keira is doing awesome at Box and One!
She has recently graduated to Essentials 2!

This is a big step for a lot of kids because it means you know how to do Rondo's, step throughs, and spin moves!

Keira has such a great attitude every class. She works really hard and tries her best every single repetition! That is a skill in itself. When kids focus on the process of improvement, the outcome of success
She always makes us smile and we are so happy to see her at "Box and One" classes because whenever we offer our feedback, she always says, "Thank you!" (Like literally 75x a class!)

We are looking forward to seeing her get to the 3rd level of "Box and One"... (Breakdown Moves!

You will get there, kiddo. Just keep doing what you have been doing.
As Keira would say... "Thank you!"

We would like to introduce you to Ethan!...

You will be reading a lot about him quite a but in the newspaper this upcoming basketball season.

As a rising junior, Ethan is on track to have an exceptional high school career and is also on track to fulfill his goal of becoming a college basketball player in the future.

We have him pegged for All-Conference soon!

Ethan recently completed a "Box and One" Basketball class where he shot 78% on a 100 shot test.

His dad told us that within 5 weeks of working with us at Box and One, his entire game performance was at another level.

Like a lot of basketball players, Ethan has a lot of "potential"... But he is getting closer to reaching that potential every class!

Like all aspiring basketball players, kids just need more focused technical instruction, more individual repetitions, and the corrective feedback that we provide to every player every Box and One Basketball every class.

Ethan is an awesome kid! We are excited for him to have a great basketball season this year!

We have recently referred him to the best AAU program in the country where only the top players get to play in front of college coaches.

Keep doing what you are doing. All the good things that you are working for will happen for you.

Shayla is a great kid and has been really learning fast. She gave a really great interview, too!

"The best part about Box and One is that you improve so quickly. You learn so much in 1 practice. I feel like it really helps you improve what you already have, and teaches you more."

We are always tough on him...
Cause we love him.

Introducing a special kid...
His name is Jai Zheir.

Great interview from last month's Player of The Month!

Farhan started working with us nearly a year ago, and ever since,
has become more confident and is having way more fun!

He has shown tremendous progress, to the point where he recently graduated from Level 1 to Level 2! (That was a goal of his since starting)

One of the best parts of what we do is we get to meet and work with such interesting kids that have such great personalities.

And once we get to know you, you earn a new nickname!...

We call him...

"Farhan The Destroyer!"

Such a great kid! And he loves hoops!

As we always say... "The game is far more fun when you're good at it!"

Great story about Dean!...

Dean started working with us in 8th grade.

He was asked to participate with the varsity in a practice between his 8th grade and 9th grade year. That's a big deal for a kid entering high school.

They start out practice with a full court 1 on 1 on 1 drill...

The winner of the game is the first to 5 points.

So, it's Dean's turn to go...

He gets the ball at half court to go 1 on 1 against the varsity players.

5 straight points.

Game over.

Ha!

That's pretty cool.

Dean loves hoops and is a very nimble, athletic kid.

Entering 10th grade this year, Dean has a lot of potential as a scoring point guard and we are looking to get him ready for this upcoming season so that he can have a big year at the varsity level.

Way to go, Dean!

Meet 2 Awesome Kids, Luke and Allison...

As much as we focus on basketball development, we are aiming higher all of the time to help kids become better citizens, learners, leaders, friends, and teammates.

Allis and Luke reminded us of that in this interview...
It's really interesting when we ask the kid certain questions, what their responses were...

We received some very insightful responses from Luke and Allison!
Allison reminded us about why we use "TV's" in the gym...

And Luke told us that he loves receiving the cards after class!

Really cool!

One thing that we know is that we are all visual learners....

One of the aspects of what we do better than anyone is outline the very specific and detailed technical basketball player development skills and progressions.

But another thing that we take a lot more pride in is how we help players to:

1) Improve your attitude
2) Develop principles
3) Build relationships
4) Find your passion
5) Dream big
6) Set personal goals
7) Overcome adversity
8) Rise to new challenges

Keep Aiming Higher Box and One Members!
