It is with profound sadness that Essex Sports Center mourns the loss of Brian J. Almquist.

Brian dedicated over 40 years to the ice industry, with the last five proudly spent here at Essex. He also served our country as a veteran of the United States Army.

Brian will be remembered for his quick wit, strong character, steady mentorship — and most of all, his friendship. He was a cornerstone of our facility and our community.

Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.
Rest easy, Brian. Thank you for everything. 🇺🇸
