I know i know it has been a while since i have posted.

Spring is in the air and yardwork/spring cleaning is starting. Stay hydrated dont forget electrolytes! If you start cramping think sodium (people always go for potassium which isnt bad but your body has been dumping sodium). Speaking of sodium want an easy way to check if you levels are high wear a black or dark colored hat (or shirt or even fabric watch band). Sweat rings are the salt and oils from your body mixing with the fabric, often due to excess. Salt retains water so those of you looking for weight loss understand that excess sodium is going to retain water in your body and keep your water weight up.

As we age progression can be more difficult. Sometimes we have to change the goals with the changes in our aging bodies. Maximal strength, strength endurance, and conditioning numbers from the past become harder to attain, but we can set other/new goals to adapt to our aging bodies. Time away from challenging our bodies, changes in our daily routines, and behaviors can have a greater impact on the loss of strength and conditioning as we get older.

It can be hard but persistence pays off. Reevaluating your goals with aging and accepting a world with new achievements can help keep your focus. A recent fitness related story I found amazing was the compositional changes of former NFL lineman Joe Thomas. A great look at what a change in programming can achieve.

I have put together a new free 4 Week Resistance Band! The program can be performed at home on your own all you need is a resistance band kit (I have a recommended kit until YOUnique Training kits become available). The program is free, and it still requires some streamlining, but is a great opportunity to get yourself started.

One of my morning protein intake options I like for myself. Gives me my morning coffee and around 45g of protein (yes there is sugar but my body seems to handle sugar well and not just store it at this point especially during intense training periods, often my body prefers to have it!). I don’t really do hot coffee anymore (when I do it is usually black or not even coffee but mushroom coffee).

Also update on self driven online programs. I have a free one I am about to release that can 100% be done at home. Still working on some bugs/streamlining for all online programs. I am hoping to eventually increase video production quality and content. Camera recommendations are welcome. I usually use my iPhone but YouTube tends to not make them HD for some reason.

Safety reminder to those of you performing squats utilizing the squat rack. Perform the exercise inside the squat rack with safety bars in place. I see too many people at gyms performing squats without safety bars in place or even worse on the outside of the rack. Injuries happen, joints can give out, or you can pass out. Even having a spotter there to assist you may not be enough. By squating without safety bars and/or outside of the rack you are setting yourself up for potentially injuring yourself very badly. Be safe and train hard but also smart!

Winter ❄️ Sale! The New Year is upon us and I have cut the price of the self paced 6-Week Stabilization Program. Now only $10! A great self paced program for beginners and advanced to kick start or recharge your fitness program.

To access the program you need to join the site and should also join our Wix App (still working on the branded app and additional programs coming soon!). It will also be good to have a membership to your local gym for access to equipment you may not have at home.

I will be releasing at home programs that will not require gym memberships, but they can be beneficial for access to cardio equipment, cable machines, and free weights. The programs are great guides for those of you who do not know what you should be doing.
