🚨 THE RECRUITING CALENDAR JUST CHANGED. YOUR PRIORITIES SHOULDN’T.

October 12 marks the beginning of the NCAA Division I baseball quiet period, but that doesn’t mean college baseball recruiting stops.

Here’s what you need to know:

🔴 DIVISION I: Coaches cannot evaluate players or make in-person recruiting contacts off campus during the quiet period. Campus visits, camps, and permitted communication can continue, outside designated dead periods and recruiting shutdowns.

🟡 DIVISION II: Recruiting generally continues as normal, with a designated November 9–11 dead period for high school prospects.

🟢 DIVISION III: No NCAA-designated quiet or dead periods. Recruiting can continue year-round, subject to other NCAA rules.

MY ADVICE TO RECRUITS:

Attend camps. Visit campuses. Build relationships. Stay in touch with coaches.

Do all of those things.

But make your DEVELOPMENT the priority.

Get stronger. Get faster. Improve your skills. Take care of your body. Become a better student. Build better habits.

The goal isn’t to be the most recruited player this winter.

It’s to be a better player on March 1 than you are today. In every way.

When coaches get back on the road, make sure they’re seeing a better version of you than they saw this fall.
