The 40th Pat Griskus Sprint Triathlon (The Original!) and 25th Pat Griskus Olympic Tri are both shaping up to be a beauty of a day on Saturday June 20th 2026! Join us at Quassy.com Amusement Park in Middlebury CT.

It's a unique venue, and if you're a fan of roller coasters? The Wooden Warrior has won National Awards. And bring the kids! If you're still able to walk after the race, the park is of manageable size 🥲 Good luck to all!

Ironman 1982, Julie Moss crawl, close to the finish line - Kathleen Mcartney pass for the win. At a USAT National Conference, caught Julie Moss as a speaker. She's outstanding, very natural and engaging. Would love to have her at the Pat Griskus Triathlon! :)

Quick Update for 2026, Registration will open January 1st 2026!

The 40th Pat Griskus Sprint Tri, and 25th PG Olympic Triathlon will take place on Sat June 20th 2026, 7am Start at Quassy Amusement Park in Middlebury CT. The Olympic will again serve as the State of CT Championship race, as well as the State of RI Champs!

If anyone has Triathlete contacts in RI, please help with getting the word out, doing our best (nobody could take it in RI this year)
The race will also serve as the High School Championship.

I'd like to say all kinds of new and crazy fun stuff this year, but the fact is this: We set the stage, YOU make it fun! It's a great group of Athletes and you're all appreciated for what you make of it, on your own. And, you never disappoint! 🙂 Thank you the support, all!

Happy New Year all!​

The Pat Griskus Olympic Triathlon, Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon, will be held on Sat June 14th 2025, the Saturday before Fathers Day, as always. Many Dad's have used it as an opportunity to race, as a simple gift :) Registration is set to open at 12am, Jan 1st, 2025.

These races will serve as the USAT State of CT Age Group Championship (Olympic) and the Sprint on the same morning will serve as the State of CT High School Championship. This year, we'll also host the State of RI as their State Championship.

Racing for the fun of it is also encouraged, no need to concern yourself with the championship status! Never lose sight of this one simple thing: racing is FUN! :) What it does for all of us is the same. Sets a goal and makes us all commit. More info going forward.

​Hopkins Tri registration will open Feb 1st, race date will be Sat July 12th 2025. In the meantime, keep up the training!
