Many might not know this, but Rick was an integral part of helping restart our figure skating club after COVID. After losing the whole of the 2020-21 season to the pandemic, the club was in need of ice time to get back up and going. Rick was there to work with a new group of parents and Town of Middlebury Parks and Recreation to make sure our club would survive the pandemic and helped set in motion the independent 501(c)(3) club as it exists today.

Rick, thank you for everything you did for the community, and especially our community. This club would not exist without you. You will be missed, friend!

Skating season is underway and this year MFSC purchased skate buddies for our newest skaters! It’s just the little boost of confidence they need to start taking off on their own! And a huge shout out to the human skate buddies that show up to help the younger skaters! We appreciate you! ❤️⛸️
