Yesterday marked the 21st year of Robinson Memorial Golf Tournaments, and what a remarkable day it was.
Together, we raised more than $30,000 to establish a scholarship fund benefiting deserving students from the Midd-West School District as they pursue higher education. This fund is designed to create a lasting legacy, with future tournament proceeds and additional Robinson family contributions continuing to grow opportunities for local students for years to come.
Since 2005, the Robinson Memorial Golf Tournament has raised approximately $420,000 for organizations and causes throughout our community. While a portion of future tournament proceeds will support this scholarship fund, the tournament will also continue its longstanding tradition of raising money for local charities and nonprofits that make our region a better place to live, work, and grow.
The tournament was created in memory of George and Doris Robinson, whose philanthropic spirit and love for their community inspired this event. George and Doris believed in helping others wherever there was a need, and they shared a passion for the game of golf. More than two decades later, this tournament continues to honor their legacy by bringing people - and the Robinson family - together to support causes that strengthen our local communities and create opportunities for future generations.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to every golfer who registered to play, every volunteer who donated their time, every business and individual who sponsored a hole, and every supporter who helped make this event a success. Your generosity and commitment are what make this tournament possible year after year.
