One last ride with the pack for Major Nocella.
Today we gathered for a special hunt to honor and thank a treasured member of the White Hall Hounds family as she prepares to leave Virginia for new orders and new adventures.
Through many seasons, she has been a steady presence at the kennels and in the hunt field—caring for hounds, supporting the pack, and helping make our sport possible. The bonds forged through horses, hounds, and shared days in the countryside are not easily broken.
The hounds seemed to know it was a special day. They sang their hearts out for her, carrying their music across the spring countryside as only a pack of happy Penn-Marydels can. It was a fitting tribute to someone who has devoted so much of herself to their care and well-being.
While duty now calls her westward, she will always remain part of the White Hall Hounds family. We are grateful for her friendship, her service to our country, and the countless hours she devoted to our hounds and our hunt.
Fair winds, safe travels, and may there always be hounds in your future.
Until we meet again.
